Hello, everyone

I want to share an experience that I had today. Me and my mother went to a mall to get some coffee and we sat outside to enjoy the view of the nearby mountain. At one moment a dragonfly appeared from the south and came to where we were sitting. Then it came on my right side and it brushed against my temple, after which it flew north. Soon after it came back, and landed next to my mother, near her left foot, and she stepped on it twice, which killed it. Then another dragonfly appeared and flew away towards the south.

If anyone has an idea what that can be an omen for, please share. Thank you!

Alex

Why did she kill the dragonfly?

I didn't ask her, because she usually kills moths, mosquitoes, cockroaches and spiders.

Dragonflies are related to fear of change in awareness, not understanding the circumstances and possibly appearing as the victim in some emotional situation. Your mom has stepped over the unconscious "fears" alleviating them so they can't fly around anymore. That's one way to handle it, but they won't go away, change is bound to happen - the end result being freedom. They say "fears" become a gift when we embrace them. It sounds like you've embraced the omen though, so thats great.

I would look for any emotional patterns where you feel like what is happening in your life is not fair, where you have longings and hopes that seem to materialize for everyone, but not for you, causing lack of fulfillment of some kind. They may be the root cause of this dragonfly encounter.

The fact that you acknowledged the dragonfly and its movement means you're ready to embrace change and on the brink of understanding some of your own behavioral patterns that might keep you in a loop and away from the fulfillment you hope for.

The dragonfly encounter could also have to do with ideals about true freedom that is attainable spiritually, but that cannot be materialized physically, causing an effect of emptiness that is hard to fill, or a melancholy, or just indecisiveness of what to be passionate about that could fill the void in a certain part of someone's life.

In case you're wondering where did this come from, it's from Gene Key 55. Not sure if you have this in your "natal chart", but the dragonfly sighting relates to this unique gene key and attaining the gift of emotional and spiritual freedom.

That's my take, I am sure you'll get other interpretations as well...

@mirela Thank you, Mirela! I don't have the Gene key 55, but I have some important transits going on - Saturn in the 4th house (Aquarius), where my Sun is, Uranus squaring my Sun, and soon Pluto will start hitting 4 of my planets that are at 27 degrees, and my AK at 28 degrees. So I am feeling something already, some changes are coming about in the next months, could be very intense.

Dragonflies live most of their life in water, and only spend the last few weeks of their life flying in the air as a dragonfly. I wonder if you have something on your mind that you are a bit indecisive about? Are you at odds with your mother with regards to this topic or something else?

The advice might be to go with your feelings instead of your thoughts. Perhaps the brush on the temple was an indication to change your perspective.

South is Fire, represented by Leo and Cancer in the Vedic South Indian chart. North is Earth, represented by Aquarius and Capricorn in the Vedic South Indian chart. North is also where we are headed and is represented by Rahu.

Both Pluto and the dragonfly is a symbol of transformation. The dragonfly moults multiple times while in its early stages of growth. With Pluto’s transits soon hitting, perhaps it is a heads-up to not be too rigid, but be fast and agile like a dragonfly.

The other dragonfly flew from the North towards South. After the first dragonfly died, did you change your mind and decided against what you wanted to do?

@manisha Honestly I didn't like that she stomped on it and killed it. Now I also remember that I was a bit uncomfortable when the first one started flying near me, and when it brushed me I waved my right hand to get it away, it caught me off guard, I was like WTF?.

It looks like things can get very chaotic in the next months, as in my Varshaphala I have the Muntha in the 4th, which is my natal Scorpio rising, and four planets, incl. Sun, in Aquarius 7th house (I have Rahu in the 7th in my Rasi chart). And these 4 planets are in 10 of Spades in my year Spread, with 7 of Hearts on the Ecliptic, which is the same as my Birth Spread Ecliptic Card. Maybe I will start a relationship and want to move in, but my mother will be aginst it, who knows? I'm in my head too much, as you can see. LOL!

Thank you for the advice! I will do my best to be flexible and work with whatever happens.
