(General rule for heterosexual people:)

When I read the Jupiter card for a man, it´s something averted, it´s an illusion, it´s Maya; I compare it to the devil´s role in "Bedazzled"; you thought you got it, but you didn´t. But for a woman that thing can show up in her life through her husband, right? And that way be quite manifest in her life, but in an indirect form. (And maybe also through her kids?)

Similar with the Venus card, but reversed. For a (heterosexual or femininely geared) woman the Venus card is more a portrait of the partnership. For a man it can be the partner itself: His woman may be portrayed but that card.

A subtle but yet noticeable difference; Do you agree?

I believe that the Jupiter is card is something you have to work at and it is something that will be averted until one learns the lesson of the suit indicated in that position; for example, if it is a heart, then that indicates the need to have self love first. So I think this goes for either male or female identifying people.

Also, I have seen the Venus card show up as the actual male partner of a woman as well.

@bmthsand Thank you, yes, that is a good summary of the Jupiter card I think, and the main indication that should never be forgotten I think. The question is rather whether we should also glance towards the partner, more as a secondary indication.

Interesting what you say about the Venus card; I guess Venus could be the male partner for a woman if they are actually married, or there could be other partnership factors in it, like for any other card; or of course in some cases they could be the same just out of coincidence. Just saying: if it happens once or twice maybe it doesn´t mean a lot, but when you start to see a pattern...

Interesting thought, seems logic, worth to keep an eye on!

I dont think venus has become more of a make of men for woman. Marriage is venus, but to co create is jupiter and woman still want a man for that as much as ever. What we are dealing with is the biology of hormones and as long as women and men have hormones that are growing them differently we have to focus on jupiter for the husband.

Yes, people with starved jupiter's are expecting the material life to give more happiness than the creative life and that means money and other externals.
