Could someone share their understanding or experiences with regards to Jupiter in Capricorn, please.
But there is something about Capricorn that Jupiter hates. Ucca is low even in Sag and Aquarius. This is what i find a little confusing about dignities and ucca bala. Dignity comes from a rasi, but ucca bala means distance from a point in a circle. Jupiter in Gemini has more goodness in his bank account than Jupiter in Sag?
Jupiter in Saggitarrius is in his mool trikona and therefore garvita for whatever uccha it has. Means it is established in the roots of what it knows.
Jupiter in Gemini is starving and therefore its uccha will be ripped off by mercury.
Capricorn is hell of difficulties being Tamasic earth sign - too much of material difficulties, Jupiter is Guru. His job is not to fight bs material difficulties but to guide the king and commander and enjoy his lofty spiritual nature and being least bothered by material sustenance. Now the Guru is in a place of problems and not able to get great circumstances suitable for his nature, so feels low.
Maybe Db Jupiter makes the person to not dwell on the purpose as much as they dwell on what happened, what is happening and what is going to happen?
Maybe the consciousness of this Jupiter can be raised by doing what they should be doing (what matters) instead of dwelling on what is happening and what is going to happen?
When i started to learn astrology i tried to learn about the planets as well as the signs. Then i tried to put them together to see what i get....
Jupiter is contentment, happiness, husband, children, wisdom,money, guru, luck, good will etc. The sign that Jupiter is in will show how a person goes about do the types of things that they have to do to find contentment and happiness. How a person goes about developing their learning, knowledge, pursuing their philosophy, their belief show the sign position of Jupiter. It shows how Jupiter as a planet goes about doing its things
Capricorn is a feminine sign so it is receptive intelligence vs experimental intelligence (masculine signs). It is Tamasic, moveable. Capricorn is an earth sign which means it is practical, realistic. Jupiter tends to be weaker in all the earth signs. Jupiter is about hope, optimism. Earth is about hard work and that is against Jupiter's nature where praticality is required and optimism won't really help. Jupiter's root is in Sagi (molatrikona). The 2nd house from Sagi is Capricorn. the 2nd house is the house of resources, material possession. Jupiter is not about taking care of all the material needs. He is not a planet that cares about what he owns, possesses. Jupiter is about charity, good will, forgiveness. If Jupiter is in Capricorn he won't be very happy.
Jupiter in Capricorn is a Sudras caste. Sudras they just want to do their hard work, get fed and go home. Sudras serve society best as unskilled laborers, servants etc.. per the Graha Sutras. Jupiter is Brahmins which is better fitted in water sign like Cancer. Jupiter likes to contemplate, to feel.
Sattva signs are elevating, uplifting. Cancer, Leo, Sagi and Pisces which are Sattva signs that ruled by the Sun, the Moon and Jupiter. Tamasic signs are Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn and Acquarius. The Guna is the motivating influence to a sign. If you do something because you fear something bad is going to happen if you don't do it, that is a Tamasic action. You get out of bed because the house is on fire. That is Tamasic action. Jupiter is Sattva action. The motivation to get out of bed is to do something good in life, to achieve something higher and more uplifting. They envision a better life. That is Sattva action. So Jupiter is better fitted in Cancer.
Jupiter is 8th from its Moolatrikona (Sagi) to Cancer. 8th house is the house of sudden changes and breaks. It is a house of spiritual transformation. For big changes to happen there has to be a transformation. We go through a spiritual transformation and the 8th house is the house of spiritual process. Knowledge brings about changes. Jupiter is about knowledge. Jupiter is destine to achieve higher knowledge. Jupiter in Cancer identifies with breaks and changes
Jupiter is 9th from Cancer to its own house in Pisces. The 9th house is the house of philosophy , religion, dharma, teachers. Jupiter goes through the breaks and changes by learning to achieve higher knowledge, by developing self-knowledge. It is a combination of both the 9th and 8th houses that allow Jupiter to achieve its goals.
