Hi Ernst,

In one of your YouTube Kala videos you mention that "Dhruva Ecliptic Longitude for Nakshatra positions" is the way the ancients did it i.e. divide ecliptic based on segments of the equator.
But it seems that the default chart creator in "Vault of the Heavens" uses "Dhruva Equatorial Longitude for Nakshatra positions", yes?

I'm curious as to why?

Star positions were given in Dhruva ecliptic longtitude in the old books. But I liked how equatorial worked better so use it.

@ernst

If I recall right, there was a video where you mentioned the Chinese calculated star positions using the equatorial method?

I have mentioned that on occasion but I gave no details about it, just that they measured their stars equatorially.
