I was revisiting the Rahu/Ketu course where Ernst mentions that once the sign is experienced and accomplished the house area also improves.

However, on other occasions we have discussed that first a person should go to the house area, and then when that is accomplished he/she is ready to go to the sign.

So, which one is more accurate? And does the first statement means that we can take a shortcut by directly going to the sign and thus we will directly influence the house area as well without the need to focus on it much?

Regards

In essence one needs to work on/develop the sign elements of Rahu. However, in routine, its the house, being a more concrete thing than the sign, which will present itself to us and is a more easily available tool to work towards the Sign.

So, yes if one could work on the sign directly that could be the ideal thing but in reality its less likely to happen as accessing the Sign things would be more difficult than the house things.

How i have come to see it work is that we readily go to the house that rahu is in, but it does not work so we pull back to ketu. The reason rahu does not work, is cause we are not doing the sign right. So as we go to the house, we have to learn to do the sign right or we loose the house. I see this is a regular theme during rahu maturation. A person does the house, better than ever, and then it all falls apart because they did not know how to do the sign. The sign is much deeper and much harder to be aware off.

@ernst What is the significance and priority of the house Rahu's lord is in?

Is that an aspect of Rahu's undeveloped territory (via the lord's house and sign?)

The house the lord is in is something that is there to help with the rahu journey, we succeed or fail through the agency of that house.

@ernst Hi Ernst, I would humbly ask for advice for my Rahu if that's okay? I just need a starting point and I will expand your idea and knowledge, those keys I needed that would help my journey from my Rahu. If it's only okay with you.

We cant shortcut to the sign. We just don't have the awareness of it. Its been really interesing to watch many many people go through their rahu maturations in the last few years and how every one of them even after getting the house in a better than ever way, they lost it and were completely unable to grasp what they needed to do, the sign. They were still trying to have that house and live out ketu's sign. I think this is normal actually and that it can take many years before a person can grasp the sign and try to use it. A lot depends of course on the condition of Rahu's lord.

@ernst so, even though we have the proper astrological guidance, and we are certain that this is the way to go, we are, in a way, restricted of jumping directly to the sign? Can we just do it, baldly, out of trust for the astrology and have great results?

Can there be any negative consequences if we go directly to the sign without the awareness to do so?

@katalina1 Ok so you didn't ask me but I feel like I have a good example of this from my own life. I hope you will find it helpful.

I'm blessed with a very strong Rahu lord. For my entire life I've been very interested in foreign languages (since age 12). I'm from the US, a culture without any strong tradition or purpose for learning languages.

So I did kind of what you suggested in your question, I tried a million different things, I just really wanted to bring languages in my life.

I had to learn how to learn languages, not a default thing for Americans. Many people were even discouraging me (believe it or not)! Then understand how I learned best (habits, routines and tasks) and how I interacted with others best as an adult speaking their language at a five year old or ten-year old level (inevitable in the process). You could say I did most of this in my teenager/tweenager years and I feel now as an adult I'm refining them, although I feel close to mastery of them.

I found myself transforming the more time and effort I put into it. So when I was living abroad the second time and studying among other people learning a new language with others from different cultures, then immediately after living in a family's home immersing myself in another language, it was during these more intensive experiences I could feel myself reaching new levels. I was having more profound insights during the process because the basics were automatic to me.

Instead of focusing on the How and What questions I was beginning to have insights about the Why questions. While these new "Why" insights were happening I could feel them arise from my subconscious into my conscious. It's a completely different feeling than normal thinking.

I'm now ending a cycle where I'm really deeply understanding the different perspectives and worldviews behind the linguistics. The most concrete way I can put it is why do some languages have a Subjunctive tenses and others don't? Why do some not have a future tense? Sure these are grammatical questions but they hint a higher worldview of human life from each perspective. If you speak more than one language I know you'll understand some of this, and it can be really esoteric. And I know this may not make sense to anyone besides me, but I feel so lucky and proud of all of my insights, understandings and transformations.

But I didn't start there. I started as an awkward tweenager conjugating verbs and copying letters from other alphabets in my notebook for no reason other than I just really wanted to.
