Hi Ernst and all,

I am listening to your positional transits course. It is a good course. I completed the Returns/Retrograde section and  started on the Gocara section. Transits are so interesting as they tell you about your mood depending on the placement of the planets from the Moon. I enjoy going into Kala to find transit charts, transit wheel and transit calendar. I have a question regarding Gocara from the Moon. In Kala when i go into the transit calendar, i see all kind of little pictures for a particular calendar day, do you discuss what these pictures mean somewhere in the Gocara section? Also blocked planets on the transit calendar, is it being discussed in the Gocara section? If not, what course do you discuss them?

BTW you used Gocara technique to predict the last couple of elections. I am going to practice the Gocara technique that you taught here here to see what i will come up with!

Thx!

You can learn to understand the transit calendar in the owners manual under the help menu. and yes, blocked planets are in the gocara report in the gocara screen.

Ernst,

Listening to your Gorcara Saturn in houses from the Moon, it appears when Saturn crosses the 7th to 10th houses, that takes a good 10 years. The Sade Sati is when Saturn crosses the 12th, 1st and 2nd from the Moon, and it takes 7 years. I would think the longer period when Saturn crosses the 7th to 10th houses from the Moon is more important or more intense than Sade Sati. Just an observation

My Sade Sati was very tough and intense so at least i could understand why people worry about the Sade Sati period...

Saturn in transit from the moon when its not in a good house is always painful in some way. Its not saturn's fault. What happens is that when saturn is in a bad house from the moon, we don't want to do what saturn is asking of us. The moon, our daily consciousness, is not supporting saturn. Moon only supports saturn when he is in 3/6/11 from the Moon. He mostly does not support saturn, becasue saturn is the hard things in life that we have to do and Moon does not want to do those things, he only wants to do that when he can  see how it will help him get ahead, houses 3/6/11, some way. BUt most of the time we can't see how doing saturn is going to get us ahead in our lives. But we have to deal with saturn anyway, and it just feels a lot worse. I hvae seen people with saturn in 11th from the moon do things, they are excited about it, and as soon as saturn goes into the 12th from the moon, those same things begin to feel drudgerous.

SO whats worse, saturn in 7-10 or sade sati? It really depends on the ashtakavarga points. So check those for saturn, the sign that has the lowest points and low points are always a tough period when saturn transits that sign. If one of those signs is the sade sati sign or the 8th, it will be particularly painful. But if those signs have 4 or 5 or more or even three points, they wont be nearly as bad as if they have 0-2 points. So the answer to your question is, it depends on the person's ashtakavarga. The transit from the moon is just 1/8 of ashtakavarga.
