Gocara as it is commonly used refers to the transits of the planets from the natal Moon. This is the single most widely used technique in India due to its simplicty and easy of use. The favorable and unfavorable transit places for the different planets are identical to those in Ashtakavarga – essentially this is one isolated technique from the larger Ashtakavarga system.
