Hi  all,

I've been studying Vedic Astrology for more than 15 years now - mainly with Ernst, but also with Michael Reed and Vic di Cara.Since then I accumulated a lot of theoretical knowledge, but never had the chance to put it into practice. I did a few private readings, which went pretty well, but never got the grip on doing it on a more regular basis (I am a professional medical doctor/psychiatrist as well so I don't have the need to do astrology for a living, but would love to get more experience with it to add it to my diagnosis-portfolio for my patients).

I love Ernst's video-teaching platform, but (no critics!) of course its uni-directional without any chance to interact or clarify questions (except in the Forum for which I am not really the type for). Everything seems so clear in Ernsts' presentation but only until I sit in front of a chart on my own.......

To cut a long story short: What I am looking for are study buddies who are facing the same problems/challenges and who are looking for a chance to meet on a regular (monthly?) "personal" basis (at zoom for example) to discuss questions and work on charts in reference to Ernst's teachings/pdf/books and/or personal notes and so to establish exchange and clarification of otherwise dead knowledge. For each meeting we could define a topic (to prevent blablabla), maybe according to the curriculum Ernst developed. Or Nabasa/Aktriti Yogas, Yoga judgement, Vimshottari predictions, Jaimini techniques, Ashtakavarga, predicting with transits, rectifying with transits....... - whatever people are interested in. Not sophisticated and professional, more intermediate level. Maybe one of the more experienced ones here is willing to do some kind of "supervision" and giving the final answer - without interrupting our stumbling and stammering too early......

What I don't want: discussions/arguments/fights about different calculation options (zodiacs, ayanamsas, house cusp systems) - I follow Ernst's options (but using a different ayanamsa) - but everybody with other preferences is welcome as well of course.

With my combust Me I am always a little bit shy in speaking English, so German speaking people are most welcome (if there are any here). Also because of time zones organizing may be easier with people on the same continent (Europe - I am UTC +1, DST UTC +2), but of course I don't want to limit this and exclude anybody. So please don't feel as such (even if you live in Antarctica - what Time Zone is there, anyway?)

looking forward to your replies/suggestions/comments, if interested.

best

christian

I think @angela-w would be interested. She also speaks German and lives in Germany! I would like to come to the Zoom but I have only been studying 15 months so I am not that advanced! Also I only speak english 🙂

Hey Folks,

thank you for your replies. So my suggestion is, we start with the 4 of us: Matthias, Rhiannon (don't worry about experience) and Angela with a english speaking group. Where in the world are you located? I am usually either very busy or lazy during the weekends, so I would prefer weekdays evenings here in Europe. Most of the people for some reasons seem to live in the pacific time zone, which is -9h from here. so that would be morning time for you, which may be working only if you are a freelancer or unemployed. what do you think or are your preferences?

Angela,

aus BaWü! da komm ich her, lustiger zufall! so far I have more exerience with vedic techniques, but last year I came in contact with the work of Wolfgang Doebereiner, a German who developed a very special branch of western astrology: die muenchner rhythmenlehre. very fascinating!

How can we get in touch? I don't want to post my email here, as this forum seems to be public. No PNs here?

Christian

@christiank  I didn´t read your answer until now, sorry Christian. Still on? If you want to be exclusive German speaking I will have to accept that, no problem. I mean, I´d skip it.

If not: I live in Mexico, so CST, same as Chicago.

@Mattias:

sure, still on - but only once per week or so (I am not a forum type I guess).

So would weekdays fit for you? I guess, I would be noon for you, when its 7pm here?

best!

christian

PS: Angela and me can do exclusively German, but if the others are still interested, lets do in English
