This last year, horses have seized my consciousness and as of the last few days, the symbol of Sagittarius has deepened its symbolic meaning with me.
Many of you have heard of The Institute of Heart Math, right?
Well they have conducted studies on the two way healing of the heart between horses & humans.
The study compared the human's EMF with the horse's EMF, which is FIVE times more prominent, allowing human & horse to feel one another from a distance.
The research described the horse's heart pattern, which is called a coherent heart rate pattern, is associated with feelings of Joy, Happiness and Lowered stress level.
Because horses have this type of heart rhythm, when we are in their EMF, they can help us down regulate our nervous system to feel more ease, calm, peace and joyful.
The study of the coherent heart pattern or HRV can determine the well-being and consistency of emotional stress and your state of calmness and positive emotion.
This is why when you're around horses you often start to get a sense of peace.
The research is showing different benefits interacting with horses ranging from lowering blood pressure and heart rates having higher beta-endorphins, which are your pain suppressors.
Those neurotransmitters that act as pain suppressors also decrease stress levels and feelings of anger, hostility, tension, anxiety and foster better socialization skills, feelings of greater empowerment, confidence, patience and self-efficacy.
So as the Sun is waning, the energy of nature (northern hemisphere) is going within and being in the presence of or sitting upon a horse will assist humans in resting, contemplating our desires, stoking what inspires us. Once we are clear on what we want to create in this next yearly cycle, then we pick up our bow & arrow and with focus attention shoot our creation into the future and welcome back the waxing Sun.
Your thoughts on this insight of Sagittarius.
I've been trying to go to life going with horses for some time now, it certainly worth it in the end. What I would like though is a specific people that actually seem to understand what you're saying.
That's a great prompt, Kristina.
It's very earth-centric....speaking of a waxing and waning Sun.
This sag sign is ruled by Jupiter, big, expansive, usually benevolent. The horse is a big animal with an expanded heart EMF, they can make one feel calm and peaceful, but not all the time...which is how I think about Sag...it's not always aiming the bow and shooting the arrow fun. I work with horses and unless you're working with a super broke horse, you have to come to terms with an energy larger than your own, which can be quite erratic until the two of you find common ground, and for some people that can be pretty scary and they don't even want to go there. Maybe it's like that for people with malefics in Sag.
Lately, I've been experiencing Sag as the guru who confronts you with the last ditch chance to aim high to shoot the flare over into Pisces because you're heading into the dark night of the soul and will need some help coming out of it (Capricorn and Aquarius).
I appreciate your thoughts on this sign because it makes me see how I (with Saturn in Sag, 7th from my moon) see all the ways in which experiences in Sag season can go wrong. lol
Have you looked at the Nature of House Lords section under Yogas in Kala? If you set the Lagna on Sagittarius then you will get a description of Sag from the point of view of the planets combined with rulership of house placements from Sag which gives commentary on the sign itself but also a pathway for interpreting how an individual chart will manifest the symbolism. For example Mercury as 7th and 10th lord is the Centaurs charisma. Mercury well disposed for Sag rising could approximate something like the expanded EMF field of a horse. You can also use the Kala search tool to experiment with different planet placements related to Sag Lg, Sun, Moon, etc. and how this has played out in other nativities.
