Hello Ernst,
On a basic google search, 'Vedic' has a root from the word Vid, "to know". Veda means 'knowledge'. You have said somewhere in your courses that 'Vedic' literally means 'true'. Can you break this down, the literal Sanskrit etymology of the word 'Vedic"?
Scott
the veda is the truth. vedic is a made up word. it's not a sanskrit word it just uses the sanskrit base, ved, rather vid. There is really no such thing as Vedic astrology. David frawley coined this phrase, he should have trademarked it as its a name that has caught on, hahah. the idea is that it comes from a culture of truth, sadly, that truth has largely been lost in teh ages. modern world and modern india is not a veda culture. that cutlure is gone, we can try to learn from it as we move towards the next veda culture, culture based on truth that we will arrive at in a several thousand years.
