Ryan Kurczak made a wonderful series on the lagnas a few years ago. Analizing every planet and it´s function for each of the lagnas. But for Sagittarius and Pisces he let two of his pupils run the show, and with all my respect, those videos are just not as nearly as good as the one´s that Ryan himself are in charge of. That´s my opinion.
I was thinking that maybe we could do a similar the analysis here in stead.
The original format can be seen on Youtube, look for "Ryan Kurczak" and words Like "X rising" etc, and it will show up.
The method is: See what houses each planet rules and what that implies. Focus on the house of exaltation and debilitation and see what that suggests for the function of that planet for the lagna.
So, for Sagittarius lagna it would be something like this / I haven´t watched the videos, I find it painful to watch / -
JUPITER for Sagittarius ascendant, rules the 1st and the 4th, Exalted in the 8th, DB in the 2nd.
-The 4th lord being the lagna lord and v v: The personal identity and the identification with family and the homeland are intertwined, or color each other strongly. Also the mother.
- "Emotions first." How do I feel about it? An emotionally conscious person, perhaps?
Exalted in the 8th, DB in the 2nd:
- Other people´s money may work better than one´s own for Sagittarius lagna. Tend to be lucky in that field: Inheritance, rey on a spouse etc May give good economic advice to other people.
- May tend to be overly reliant on luck and good fortune when it comes to their own economy, basically leading to lazyness when it comes to obligations and taking good economic care of a family.
- Good at revealing financial secrets /8th being a financial house, Jupiter being a financial planet/.
- The lucky planet ruling the 1st and 4th: A jovial person, a jovial psyche.
- A natural knack or inclination towards astrology and/or psychology etc, with the 4th Lord - emotional foundation - being exalted in the 8th - the secrative house. And it´s Jupiter, the karaka for astrology and psychology.
I stop there for now; if someone is interested to comment or add something to what´s written, please do so, and then perhaps we can move on to next planet for Sagittarius lagna; which one would that be? Mars maybe? Saturn?
