7th house is partnerships and far away places. Its also a house of desire, but by itself it will not represent other excesses. If there are excess combos, say moon as 2nd lord with saturn in 6th, and 7th is involved, then it will make it worse because it will also be trying to fill a love and sexual emptiness.
