Ernst, in the Shad Bala course, you mention that yuddha (planetary war) will affect the bhava that it is taking place in. I assume the planet losing the yuddha will also have the bhavas that it rules suffer as well?

I have an example of a chart of someone who has Ju losing to Ma. Ju rules 2nd and 5th. This person has had money issues at times and has a very difficult child that has special needs. This person is also heavily into conspiracies to the point where it warps the individual into a lot of negativity.

However, Ju and Ma is a really nice avastha to have, so this person does receive a lot of fulfillment and benefit from Ju/Ma conjunction.

If anyone else wants to mention anything, feel free too.

First of all, are you sure they are having a war, did you check the shad bala to see if there was a war as you cannot tell by just looking at the chart?

Yes, you can see it in the yuddha portion in the shadbala box in the screen shot.

Sorry, I somehow missed that! Yes, it impacts the bhavas too, and it also impacts the bhavas it rules in other vargas. The tricky thing about war is that the loser gives his stuff up to the winner, so the winner does more of everything, so you have to look carefully at what planet is actually giving what. Cuase maybe mars rules a jupiter thing house, like the second in some other varga bearing on wealth? Then mars will give wealth there even though Jupiter is not helping the 2nd house in the rasi chart.

How would you interpret Yogananda's weak Shadbala Su? It is like at 58 or something! I interpret that it showed the weaker body he had since he left his body at age 57 (I think) due to a heart attack which is Su.

Also, I know your plate is full with the new version of Kala coming forth, but if we could have a yuddha feature in the animated transits, that would be awesome!!

If a raj yoga producing planet is lost in war, does that planet give its raj yoga (or any other yoga) producing power to the winner of the planetary war as well?

Raj yoga strength will be reduced as shad bala of lost planet is reduced.

Yes, but does that strength get transferred to the winner of the war? The chart attached to this post has Ju/Ma in Scorpio. Ju forms Yoga, but is severely lost in war. -328 points!

Yes other planet will gain the strength. Effectively total strength will remain same but the lost planet bhava will suffer and winner planet bhavas will be benefited

Could we say, with regards to the losers avasthas, that the losing planet has less good to give and buffer against bad avasthas? The yuddha score is shown in the shadbala, but the cheshta, uccha and dig also are reduced?

I think yuddha takes shad bala away from the losing planet, so that should impact all the six balas and reduce some of their values and add them to corresponding parts  of winning planet.

@ernst can confirm on that.

You will often see that gurus that do a lot have the sun weak in some respect, perhaps just in the sign of saturn. A weak sun becomes a servant instead of a king, and Gurus are the greatest spiritual servants.

That is true! I've noticed that in the past when looking at the gurus charts in Kala, that many (most) had Sun starved by Sa. I was always puzzled by that one. But any planetary condition can be turned around into something more harmonious if properly understood.
