Saturn can manifest the planets in his sign. So in saturn dasa, sun things and 9th house can happen in this example, to the strength and wellbeing of Saturn. As a dispositor of the Sun, Saturn is able to manifest the Sun in his period.
However, saturn aspecting the sun is hurting the sun, so in Sun period, that will cause sun indications to suffer.

I see you are saying sun dasha will be starving due to Saturn from lajjitadi avasthas point of view. However Saturn will help manifest concrete reality of sun as well in its sub-period due to rasi aspecting its own sign.
So both good and bad stuff happening in sun-saturn period? Like saturn can manifest a career for a person but the person won't feel happy about/in it?
