Hi Ernst:

a. In the "Deeptaadi avasthaas" course, you define the Khala state as "Neecha".

b. In the "Deeptaadi avasthaas in Jaimini" course, you define the ViKhala state as "joined with a krura planet including Su".

Which definition should be used? I find a. better, because b. clashes with the definition of Kopi if the planet is conjunct the sun, in which case would the planet be in Vikala or Kopi state or both?

Anil

Vikhala is different from Khala. Vikhala is when a planet is joined with a malefic and it becomes impared. Khala is when a planet is DB, or Neecha.

OK, I see that now.

In the "Deeptaadi avasthaas in Jaimini" course, you define the Vikala state as "joined with a krura planet including Su" on the video.

In the manual, you do not include Su. A Graha feels impaired when joined with a Papa Graha: the waning Moon, Mars, Saturn, Rahu or Ketu.

The second definition makes more sense, because if Su is included in the definition of Vikala, it would clash with Kopi avasthaa. The planet would then be in both Vikala and Kopi avastha, and since both of these are non-dignity avasthaas, they are mutually exclusive.

So I'm going with the manual in this case!
