Hi Ernst,

On the 8th March 2022 5h32, New York, NY; Kala is saying Saturn is combust but if I look on Stellarium Saturn is quite far from the Sun. On the ecliptic they are 28deg apart and on azimuth they are 25deg apart. On this link you can see Saturn and the Sun in Stellarium and a screenshot from Kala.

TIA,
Radha.

Hi Radha, we had a bug in Kala and that is the issue. I think you have a version older than 2023 version? If I remember we fixed that bug in the 2023 version.

@ernst

This combustion logic seems to have something to do with helical rising because it only marks it as combust around sunrise. Have you removed that logic entirely in the new version or have you improved it?

If I remember there was an issue with calculating the oblique ascension correctly.
