Hi Ernst,

In this screenshot Mer is in the 10th but Kendradi bala is 30. Is that correct?

Again I'm getting Mars in the 8th with 60 points of Kendradi? Is this correct? It seems clear there is no support for this app

@radharamana

For kendradi bala, one is supposed to use the bhava-chalita chart.

Its likely that in this case Mars is closer to 7th cusp than the 8th cusp (in-spite of being in the 8th rasi from ascendant) and hence getting 60 points.

@rajan Thanks. So that leads me to a more fundamental question. Do we judge which bhava a planet is in based on the bhava chalita or the rasi chart? For kendra kona raja yogas you judge whether a planet is in a kendra based on the rasi chart.

For almost all things, Ernst suggest to use the rasi chart and rasi positions from lagna. There is nothing like  'a planet being in a bhava'

Planets occupy rasis. And bjava cusps are specific points in the rasis. So eventually a planet may be conjunct usually one or sometimes more than one bhava cusp.

In kendra kona yogas too, use the rasi chart.

For a refresher on cusps as per Ernst, can go through his video
