Dear @ernst

I've observed that good Avashtas such as pride or delight become unhealthy when the same planet has bad avashtas or it is causing bad avashtas. I wanted to check if you confirm this?

As I mentioned in the last course, in the face of any adverse avasthas, the good avasthas will be taken to an extreme. Those avasthas are still good, but as the person is unhealhty, everything they do will have an unhealthy aspect. So yes, what you are seeing is 100% correct.

With regards to planetary maturation and the avasthas, would you say before a planet matures fully one can't fully grasp its avasthas in the most mature way yet? Like for Saturn for instance? Both the avasthas Sa creates and receives?

I recall Yogananda mentioning somewhere that it is much harder for someone after the age of 40 to take up the spiritual path and change themselves, though still possible. Makes me think of most of the planets maturing before 40 in this regard.

When a planet is in a bad avastha the maturation is very difficult and can even snowball into an utter disaster due to the person using that planet really badly. Maturation in this case is a wake up call. Once a planet is mature, a person does become much more capable of using the planet properly and fully, so yes, after that they can benefit from the good avasthas more. In the face of bad avasthas, they can have the awareness th ey need to combat them but it may take years or the rest of their lives to win that war.

In light of what Ramin wrote, would you say that during the antardasha of a planet, that both the avasthas that planet receives and the avasthas that planet gives becomes more paramount?

In terms of a avasthas as they relate to ucca, cheshta and dig like you teach in the course, if a planet is starved like Sa starved by Ma. If Sa's ucca, cheshta and dig are all higher than Ma's negative ucca, cheshta and dig then Sa has a much easier time overcoming/healing his avasthas from Ma, but it is still starved. It is not like that cancels the starvation, you still read it as starvation but much more capable of dealing with it? just confirming.

I was looking at a chart of someone I know who has Sa thrashed by all three of his enemies avastha wise but when I looked at the ucca, cheshta and dig, the Sa's ucca, cheshta and dig were all higher in its positive value compared to the negative from the starvations. This person was very solid psychologically and well balanced and overcame complexes much more smoothly. To me the ucca, cheshta and dig really explain that.
