Dear Ernst,

in the free Prasna class you speak about Lahiri Ayanamsa. You explain that he said if he could do it all over again he would add approx. 30 minutes and also that you added about 26 minutes to Lahiri Ayanamsa.

Some time ago I experimented with the Lahiri Ayanamsa because I could not explain an event which happened to me. Long story, I told you some time ago about this. In JH Software one can add or substract to an Ayanamsa value, whatever is choosen. When I select Lahiri the beginning of my Jupiter MD ist approx. June 13 2016. When I add to the Lahiri value approx. 21 minutes I arrive as an starting date approx. August 8th 2016. But when I use Ardra Ayanamsa to which you say you have added approx. 26 minutes I arrive at an statring point for my Jupiter MD on March 31th 2016. Why if you added to Lahiri the dasa date moves back whereas when I add in JH 21 minutes the dasa date moves forward?

I found it interesting that you explained that Lahiri would add 30 minutes because this coincides with my experiment.

Can one modify the Ayanamsa value in Kala?

with the added lahiri he said it would add about 27 minutes or so to the planet position, so subract that from the ayanamsa value.

@ernst OK. Adding means to the planets positions and not to the Ayanamsa value. OK, that makes sense because then I need to substract from the Ayanamsa in order that the planets position moves forward. Therefore the Ardra Ayanamsa sifts back the Dasa sequence. In my speculation I am trying to move in the other direction. For that I have to add to the Ayanamsa in order to move forward in the Dasa sequence.

Thanks for the answer.
