Predicting how the mahadasha will go

Hi @ernst and friends,

We have two techniques amongst a few to see how a particular maha dasha will be -

1) Dignity of the dasha lord in transit at the start of the dasha

2) Dignity of the dasha lord in D60

Assuming everything else to be the same, in what ways do the above two differ in predicting how the dasha will go? So for example, imagining two scenarios here -

a) Dasha lord is in exaltation at the start of the dasha, average dignity in D60

b) Average dignity at start of the dasha, dasha lord is in exaltation in D60

How will the above the above 2 scenarios differ in terms of how the mahadasha will be?
