Hi Ernst,

I'm still a little confused on how to judge Rahu and Ketu. They do not aspect other planets because they have no gaze but other planets can aspect them and effect them? Can they can be hurt by afflicted planets aspecting them or helped by planets in strong dignity?

When you say to check where Rahu is in the Rasi and then how Rahu is doing in the critical Varga of that house (in the Rahu/Ketu Maturation Video), how do I judge how they are doing in the critical Varga?

Thank you

Rahu and ketu do as good as their lords, the planets joining them, and the planets aspecting them. Their lords are the more constant influence, the planets with them and aspecting them influences come and go. For this reason, rahu and ketu have so many ups and downs and suprises. In the varga, read the lord. Always start with the lord in the rasi or the varga.

@ernst Thank you for this, since you mentioned Rahu / Ketu do as good as their lords and many ups and downs/surprises. This is truly not subtle to me. My life, especially at home ( Rahu in 4th house Aquarius ) has been alot of ups and downs, and hardship at work ( Ketu in 10th house Leo ). From home, I think only my mom loves me and my family disown me but able to tolerate me as a family. And for work, I was able to achieve alot of skills, even as the fastest multi-skilled person overall, it took me 2 years to get the position, took 8 years to be recognized and 13 years to fully work with only 1 position than having 10-20 positions! Not only that, but there are many painful memories, life and death situations that is very unbearable to live with. That's why when you mentioned that Rahu will do as good with their lords, I am curious with my Rahu in 4th, though ketu in 10th sounds bad already. I would wants to understand how these Axis works and why? Is this because it makes a Kaala Sarpa Dosha? I would try to understand all these as much as I can because I have sacrificed so many in life that even how many I did, it is never enough. But, trying to willfully fight until I start my Vimshottari Saturn Dasha maybe this 2024 or 2026(?)  and hopefully I am able to have a new job that would sustain me because I have suffered for 13 years, I would want to move on, hopefully I am able to see your insights which I wasn't able to achieve/learn. Thank you !

Rahu and Ketu are our environment. They are also our ancestors. The environment we are in, is the result of our ancestors who left the world as we were born into it. We are born into that environment as a result of our past karmas, thus it's the right environment for us to resolve our karmas. The sign of the nodes is more important than the house. The sign is the qualities that the environment developed, Ketu, and the qualities that need to be developed as a result of lack or stress in the environment. The house is simply the area of life were we experience all this the most.

The ups and downs are rahu and ketu, why are they so up and down compared to any other planet? Because any other planet's effects largely depend on its own lajjitaadi avasthas. Rahu and ketu though give an up for every good avastha planet that impacts them, and a down for every bad avastha planet that affect them. Most people have a mix of these influences on thier nodes. Some people are lucky and may only have good avasthas on both nodes or one node, you won't see them going to astrologers though.

@ernst I appreciated the response, Will have that on note!
The last part you mention is true, more on the Psychology due to their lifestyle they do not want to dig deeper in understand. Most likely Interest and/or pain attracts us here, and maybe curiosity as such but temporal.

Thank you for the insights.
