Hi Ernst, How can the seventh house and Aditya Vivasvan be conceptually integrated, considering that Vivasvan represents a form of love that serves humanity as a whole, while the seventh house signifies the significant "other"? Or is that too narrow a way of thinking—and can both exist side by side: the ability to relate to an individual counterpart while not losing sight of the greater whole of humanity? Seeing the individual as part of that whole? Or is this placement a contradiction in a way?
By the way: How is Saturn doing in Vivashvan as Yama (with his wife Samjna) and Shani (with his "shadow" wife Chaya) are sons of him? Is there a Saturn affinity?
You could consider the 1st house the house of self, and the 7th as others...any others, anyone who isn't you, so that could be everyone, the whole of humanity.
Yes, true-and there is also the notion of, being the Parjanya lagna, developing Vivashvan quality in the opposite house throughout life. But in terms of 7th house/relation with individuals... maybe it adds the notion of not differentiating between the individuals in a way because they are all part of humankind-sth like that...I wonder if Vivashvan can generate sth similar in love as Varuna in regards to the all-encompassing love... The difference maybe is Varunas love comes from the water element and Vivashvaans love from the earth element so that it has a much more practical, manifesting, concrete quality and with water varuna got this to a much more elevated spiritual/emotional level....
I think maybe the love of Vivasvan is about seeing each human being as fully human. But I think Vivsavan would differentiate in terms of the specifics of that human. If someone is wasting their life doing drugs, then he can still see them as fully human, but also realizes they aren't helping the human race as a whole, so he wouldn't waste his time on that person; so that does sound like a practical love. Whereas the love of Varuna would love a drug-addict just as much as a he would a lawyer, or a prostitute, or a saint, or or literally anyone else, which is definitely a spiritual love.
