I was coiling the water hose when a very large bee (I think a bumblebee) flew into the fence next to me and fell on his back. It stayed on his back for a while and I debated helping it out before it crawled off. It was bizarre to me because it didn’t fly into the fence very fast or hard but it just seemed to be out of juice or something.

Not sure whether you are asking about something or just wanted to tell.

Bumblebees are idle, very robust and positive. In northern regions they take care of a much greater part of the pollination of plants than we may think, since they are busy many more hours than normal bees are. Come out earlier in the morning and work even on cold and rainy days.

Positive energy, a good attitude. "A buen tiempo, buena cara" they say in Spanish: "When the weather is bad, smile!", basically. That´s the bumble bee. A warrior dressed as a clown. Reminds me about the boy scout in the "Up" movie, if you´ve seen it.

It used to be my power animal until I was 17, so I know it quite well.

This interpretation may be farfetched to you, but it´s what comes to my mind. I believe it could be about your idea of fast while breastfeeding? The fence could be a fix idea. Don´t run out of energy! Or it could be that your son is represented by the bumblebee.

@staffan That's a good point about the fast. And when I reread my post there are my words 'fast' and 'juice' lol. I did rethink the juice fast and I think I'm going to do smoothies with sprouted lentils, buckwheat, chickpeas etc + juice until I stop breastfeeding. Recently I started doing sprouted buckwheat smoothies again and it made me realize that the only time I actually feel any energy is after I have that. If I eat my regular cooked foods I feel dead for at least two hours and then I feel like I'm starving again right after. I'm a Jack of Hearts so I figured the bee was me heh. I like the phrase "warrior dressed as a clown".

@karinia Funny what you said about Jack of Hearts. You see, it´s my Venus card with several planets in it. No self factors though. Still I´ve always thought that card had a lot to do with me being a bumble bee as a kid.

I lost that innocence - and nobility! - unfortunately, when KS cast it shadow over my yearspread at 17, and then was the Moon card the following year. My shadow animal came out and took over, and run the show for many many years. But that´s another story.

But yes, indeed: JH, Bumble bee. Believe it or not, I´d made the same connection.

I hope I would have shared a bumble bee omen I had a few years ago on the forum, proving that the Jack of Hearts connection was already done, but unfortunately I had only shared the latter half of that story. About how I went to Iceland...

The thing is: life wanted me to go to Iceland with my wife, then GF, and my son. Him for to visit a friend living there, me and my wife for... Well, for several reasons as it turned out, one of them being me reconnecting with a previous lifetime that I had had there, and who left a karmic debt that I´m here to work out in this lifetime. The karmic debt was, ackording to the reading I did after having booked the tickets: Jack of Hearts! Six of diamonds in a tough position showed it had been a materially (and also spiritually as it later showed) poor life; no faith in life or abundance, indi tough life, materially poor, little faith in abundance. Lesson to be learnt in this lifetime: Jack of Hearts - innocence and childish joy as a key to abundance.

We took my kid out for a ride along the Icelandic coast; he had to see at least a little of the island, and not be sitting in Reykjavik the whole two weeks we stayed there. There was a bumble bee... This was late summer, earling autumn. Still out, it was windy and even a little rainy, impressive...! It later came into the camping´s minute kitchen, and my son caught it with a drinking glass pressed against the window. The idea was to release it, but if he lifted the glass it would fly away. I put my hands in my pocket and grabbed two cards from "the little book" as Ernst calls the card deck. I put them between the glass´s rim and the window, and that way we could help the "warrior dressed as a clown". 🙂 That funny little creature. I grabbed the glass and set him free. Now, the cards. Five of Clubs. My BC. And also a message of change of course. The other one: 6D. Worldly fullfilment, abundance. What I´d lacked in the incarnation on Iceland that we were now tracing... Now, what card lacks in that trilogy? Jack of Hearts! That´s the bumble bee, and that was how I come to realize that Jack of Hearts is indeed bumble bee energy. And later discovered it had been my power animal, but that´s another story...

Next time we drove my kid back to his friends house and went looking for the place where I had lived over 1000 years ago, but again: there is a place and a time for every story.

@staffan what is a power animal and how do you know what yours is? I used to daydream of a black panther often as a kid.

@karinia It´s a protective or guiding energy that manifests as an animal. It may be concretely in form of an animal omen or it may be through appearances in books, movies, on the cereal box etc, it may be through dreams or, as you mentioned, daydreams.

I guess the concept varies slightly from culture to culture, but I believe that most of them (cultures with shamanic traditions mostly) agree that we have one fundamental power animal which we can´t live without. That´s "the poweranimal". Then we have a shadow animal that may come out and protect us when we really need it; oftentimes a "scary" animal like a snake, spider, bat etc.

Besides that we can have a complete zoo with power animals that support us in specific situations.

Are they "real animals"? Maybe, in some realm. Or they are "energy fields" or something like it, that take the form of animals - in our minds? - because it´s a form that is easy for us to understand and relate to.

I once had the task to meditate on a "God´s name" from the kabbala. I did so sitting by the sea one early morning, and a heron showed up to make me company. When I later checked out the meaning of the "God´s name" I´d been working on, it had the properties of a heron - swiftness, balance etc. My point being: this energy can without any doubt be seen and experienced in other forms, but the form of an power animal makes it really easy for us to understand it. Which was, I believe, why the heron showed up: I´m more comfortable with the shamanic tradition then with kabbala, so life told me to relate to animal version of the same energy, better.

Let´s say it´s Ant. Then you are busy, social, can carry burdens etc. An elephant: social again, good hearing, mystical connection to the Om sound. Giraffa: You can see the future. Grounded (four legs is always about balance and being grounded).

The black panther is probably your power animal or your shadow animal.

Or was. Sometimes we evolve and change power animal. I believe most people don´t; others change power animal (the vital one) several times during a lifetime. So it has happened to me, but that´s just logic I believe since I´m a 5 of Clubs. Change...

How do you find it? You may look for it on a shamanic journey,  for example a drum journey. Just be careful and make sure that you know what you are doing. You don´t want to get lost. Or you may dream about it. If an animal shows up repeatedly in a dream or through omens... You get it. In a shamanic journey, according to the teaching I have received, if challenged the true power animal should answer showing up in four different forms. It may mean four times, or as said in four forms; in some way manifesting the number four. If it does that, you can trust it.

@staffan I see. Well mine is probably a snake then. I find them pretty often, especially the more venomous ones. When I was pregnant I was a snake magnet. I attached a photo of one of the more impressive ones that I helped to relocate. I’m also a snake in the Chinese zodiac. One of my fav snake memories is being quite young and playing in a prairie. I looked over to find a snake practically standing so it can see above the grass and watching me. 😂

I am scared of lions though, and funnily enough, my husband works with them (in the wild). I’ve also been stalked once although I don’t think I was the target. The universe has a funny way of making me face my fears so I try not to have any.

@karinia Sounds probable, yes. If snake is you power animal, your reaction to pysical threats should be doing nothing but probably, in some way or another, hypnotize your opponents. Scare them through presence.

It would also suggest great capacity for healing and renewal and possible high capacity for healing others. High sensitivity and good connection to mother Earth.

The serpents tail reminds us about our connection to our ancestry. The head: always pointing in the right direction. The way it zigzags: the path. We rarely go straigthly to the goal.

The snake has many deep meanings and was blamed by the biblepeoples for a reason.

@karinia A beautiful one. If snake is your power animal, I doubt they are ever going to do you any harm.

Just one thing - try to keep your power animal as secret as possible. There are person out there knowing how to work with energy; where I live in Mexico it´s a common thing, how it is the US I don´t know. But it´s about spiritual and energetic hygiene. You shouldn´t let everyone know.
