This evening, a gecko fell on my head from the ceiling of the patio. I had walked out onto the patio to have a look at the moon. No lights were on in the patio or in the house. Someone else followed me on to the patio with a flashlight. The sudden light might have caused the gecko to drop down and my head just happened to be in the way.

When I felt it land on my head, I thought a bug might have flown and crashed, but when I flicked it, it turned out to be a small gecko. It fell on the patio floor after I flicked it and scurried off. It still has its tail intact. It's the first time a gecko has landed on me.

I had a quick browse on Google, and the usual doom and gloom, or usually quite contradicting, omen interpretations according to Indian astrology came up. I wish they actually wrote in those books why they thought it would be auspicious or not. I am pretty sure it all has a scientific explanation behind it, which seems to be lost.

Anyway, I am not feeling any doom or gloom. Maybe I've been through enough that it doesn't bother me any more, but some good times ahead would be most welcome.

I'll dig up the animal omen books in the morning and see what they have to say. In the meantime, it's open for interpretation.

To me the gecko is a great great animal, it´s truly divine; it´s humility incarnated I believe.

(In the house in which I live they are quite abundant and makes it a very cosy place. They are fun!)

I believe it´s a reminder of humility as the key to higher consciousness.

Falling "in the head" - well, time to surrender your ideas and intellectual prestige, maybe?

A very friendly reminder in any case. I can´t think of a more friendly creature than the gecko (although it my bite you if you give it your finger, of course, but why would you?)

Can you explain how a gecko, in itself, is related to humility? I feel that everything is related to humility, and hence the key to higher consciousness.

It's also contradicting about the gecko being a friendly creature and it biting someone's finger without a threatening reason.

How did you feel in the moment about the person with the flashlight? Or the situation with them? That’s how I would probably interpret. I feel like Venus has at least something to say because of a gecko’s sticky nature.

It doesn’t seem like an impending doom type of message.

Quite calm, and just curious as to why the person was following me out and why they had the flashlight on. But, I do often get into problematic (sticky!!?? 😂) situations because of this person, so having the gecko fall off due to the flashlight is not very surprising 😄

So strange, I have been searching if anyone had something to say about Geckos in the forum since last two weeks.

Are you in India ? The heat has been a lot last two weeks, and the geckos being cold blooded creatures are coming into the house through ventilators to escape the heat outside.

I have seen 2 of them few times over the last two weeks and sometimes a smaller one too,  but they have been kind of nice, simply chill in the attic in the room, and leave. I've stared at them eye to eye in the last few days haha... it feels funny and interesting.

Spiritually, I am not sure what they mean but can only guess.

I'm not in India anymore, but when I was, we used to have geckos on the walls, but not so much on the ceilings. I wonder if it was because of the ceiling fans.

I've been reading up on geckos for the past couple of days, and got a couple of insights. The ones resonating with me are about being regenerative, adaptive, flexible, patient, and couple other things. I think it reflects some major changes going on in my chart.

I usually get a small tap before getting a big one if I don't take notice of the small one. I think the gecko hitting my head is one of those small taps, and I'm being asked to be a bit more aware of what I need to be doing or not doing.

We've been affected by a cyclone and just got power back on yesterday afternoon after 6 days of no power, so haven't gotten around to pulling the books out. Everything is stacked in front of it. Will get to it in a couple of days and share my findings. Let me know if you want me to expand on anything specific.

@manisha Thanks for sharing. Sorry to hear about the power issue.

I resonate with regenerative and adaptive as well. I had Rahu transit 4th until recently and a huge year and a half of emotional release held within for so long. Ersnt's PAC no doubt helped with that immensely - Feel and Release. I've had a crazy few years of "doing" before that.

Only now, I am able to feel internally like "doing" again, and aiming at regeneration in a new way. And I saw geckos when I kind of deviated away from taking action to do what needs to be done. I guess that's Rahu in the 3rd as well. So, I'm resonating with a similar theme, these showing up when you're not using will and doing your work.

I'd def like to hear your findings when you get to it.

Finally got around to it, and just in time too, as the upcoming eclipse is causing some heart flutterings. A few more concepts to ponder upon - alertness, perceptiveness, detachment, and surprisingly, dreaming! Didn't find anything about humility that someone else mentioned on this thread.

@manisha And also thanks for reminding about the eclipse, haha.

Me is a critical planet in my chart, re-watching Ernst's youtube video helps!
