Hi Ernst, I watched the Aditya video you recently put out. I noticed when you were correlating the Adityas with the chakras, things got out of line with the usual chakra-zodiac correlation. As opposed to Cancer(Indra) and Leo(Vivaswan) ruling the third eye, you gave Gemini(Varuna) and Cancer(Indra) to the third eye, Taurus(Mitra) and Leo(Vivaswan) to the throat, and so on. This goes against yogic teaching of the astral body. Now we no longer have one planet ruling each chakra(which is supposed to contain its male and female rashi). I'm scared 😮 However I have always wondered, as have others, why the sign beginning with the Summer Solstice isn't ruled by the Sun and The one before it by the Moon. That way we would have the upward-moving lunar current, the Ida or or nourisher nadi of the energy body, on the left, going through the nourishing half of the year and ending on the left petal of the third eye. Then, descending from the highest point at the northern solstice, we would have the Pingala beginning with what should be the Sun sign on the right petal and going down from there. But the tropical zodiac has the 2 consecutive signs that both come after the solstice in the third eye. A lot of things in astrology don't make sense. However the Adityas you have for the rashis do make sense, but there is one I just can quite understand. I cannot reconcile Varuna with Gemini. How are they alike? Also, why do all the published lists based on the Srimad Bhagavam or Vishnu Purana have it one rashi ahead of you, with Dhata starting at Aries instead of Pisces? I like your arrangement better. There are other texts that have the Adityas, rashis, and solar months in very different places than the Vishnu purana. Any thoughts? P.S. I know you said forget about the "zodiac" but I was also thinking about planet rulerships, like reconciling a Mercury sign(Gemini) with Varuna. I am fine with Indra ruling Cancer because that is where Jupiter is exalted and Jupiter is ruled by Indra. Also the Moon, as a male, was a fertility bull and Indra was described as a bull. Also the Moon is Soma and Indra drinks Soma. I am also fine with firey Vivaswan ruling Leo and Tvashtar, the craftsman, ruling Virgo as the exaltation of Mercury. I am also trying to reconcile the 7 or 8 Rig Vedic adityas with each planet and chakra. It makes sense for Dhata to rule Jupiter and the signs of Pisces and Sag and the 2nd procreative/creative chakra as well as the season of "sweetness" wich is Jupiterian and exalts Venus for regeneration. As well as for Aryaman to rule Mars and its signs/chakras. Aryaman rules chivalry and brotherhood, like Mars. And for Mitra, god of friendship, justice, and compassion to rule Venus and the heart chakra, etc. Thanks, S.

and in that you are no doubt correct as Moon's diety is Varuna and Sun's is Agni.
