Hi Ernst,

Let's say you have an exalted Jupiter in Cancer. The house of Jupiter are Sagitarius and Pisces. Let's say you have a debilitated Venus in Pisces and Saturn in Sagi. Does this take a way the strength of Jupiter since planets residing in its sign we have a debilitated planet and Saturn? Will Jupiter manifest at its full strength as an exalted planet or will Jupiter not manifest as strongly as expected? Thx!

Jupiter being exalted will support the planets in it's signs, but the afflicted planets (debilitated or conjunct enemies) will disrupt Jupiter's capacity even if he is exalted. So Saturn in Sagittarius will still create a lack of meaning and purpose, but Jupiter has a lot more reserves before experiencing a complete depression about the path the person is on. Mercury will make it difficult to juggle and manage life to manifest a concrete result that Jupiter wishes to manifest. All of this of course is also augmented based on the Lagna, and the bhavas each planet rules, as well as the conditions and aspects of the other planets in the chart.
