I dont know if this is an astrology problem perse, however its something that bothers me often internally and that is the constant lense of seeing things in terms of relative value all the time. I get most here want to learn how to do stocks and so forth, but this is something I really want to be over, whether its feeling like trash, or looking at others the same, its a cycle I dont know what to do with. Is this possibly astrological in nature, or is this more something else?

Yes, it's true, with astrology we get in the habit at looking at everything as a plus or minus cause of wanting to know and understand the ups and downs and almost all techniques have some sort of evaluation that way. A few things we can keep in mind.

In astrology when we say bad, what we are saying is not beneficial. When we say good, we are saying beneficial. So does something benefit the health, wellbeing and happiness of a person or not? When we see something troubling in a chart, say a planet in a tough lajjittadi avastha, it means the person is using that planet in a way that is not beneficial to themselves. The result of that of course will eventually be a down in life when that action or choice that is not of benefit catches up to a person.

@ernst My issue is that I feel I am constantly self manipulated in this regard. In other techniques such as transit magic, I will often times purposely go towards "not beneficial" lines, aspects, etc, only to come out well as its was a necessary experience. Some things I just have no clue about, such as this one day when I felt an overwhelming since of desolation from out of nowhere, and I still dont know what to make of that. Maybe Haarp? Maybe some ketu transit as other suggested, I am uncertain. I suppose I am trying to ask, how would or what would you look for to suggest that going for "unbeneficial" would be a necessity?

Ok I see, so what we habitually look for in a chart is going to reflect the mindset. We tend to look for what we don't have and want to have, or what we have some fears over. So looking for the unbeneficial would indicate a worry that bad things will happen and that of course can become a self fulfilling prophecy, so to help with that start doing affirmations for good desireable and beneficial things happening in life and then the mindset will change and start looking for these things, not only in the chart, but also in life.
