Hello Everyone!

I am saying this not without all my love and devotion for astrology:

In astrology, we separate everything into compartments. Compartments of planets, and psychological meanings and effects, compartments of mathematical calculations etc. With our intellect, we want to understand humans, personalities, ourselves and life. We take the parts we see in the sky- every single planet is there, with it´s own characteristic, it´s very own universe, mysteriously connected to all the other parts in this solar system. The core of it, is the beating heart of the Sun.

So, we have these elements, and try to draw a holistic picture with the means of astrology. This is not easy - as life itself is not easy to grasp. We will always have an incomplete, patchy picture (which in some way can be good and even of beauty). We have to dig deep here. We do our best, connecting the knowledge of the science with our intuition to help ourselves, help the people. But how far do we reach? How do we touch and permeate the core of the self, and even more difficult, how can people, coming and asking for help, get into their self so dedicated and deeply (I know that this is out of scope- they do whatever with the information they get)? I think, what I  am trying to say, is so trivial, because we all here know about the limitations. At the end, applied astrology, can be a conceptual/ intuitive gate, to enter deep inner and spiritual work which unfolds on another level than through our thinking processes, and the real work begins there.

I close my outpoor of simple thoughts with a poem from Jack Gilbert:

"We must unlearn the constellations to see the stars"

What are you thinking about this?

I think we don't need to know the entire stuff with astrology, only that one thing which helps us to give a push in the next one step that we need to take correctly.

Even the astrologer is part of God's creation and cannot see the whole.

Take a listen to one of Ernst's fondest readings:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_ySrcJQRGA&t=985s

Ernst also repeats, per Krishna, [we] must follow our sva-dharma. That applies both the one rendering service and the one receiving it.

It is the soul which permeates. What can touch it at all?

Enjoy the mystery.

Astrology is definitely a powerful gateway that lets us enter a person's space where others are often not welcome and so we have to make it positively transformational for them.

@ernst Thank you for confirming! I am just at the beginning, having had the first basic reading with a stranger who was asking me for it : I was however feeling kind of intrusive, telling this person all these hidden, personal things without knowing them...but probably they go rather to an astrologer, then letting their friends and family, who know them well, analyse them. Actually like going to a therapist with the advantage having someone being more "objective". I understand, why people are fearful of astrologers: The chart is like a crystal-clear window to the psyche with all the rooms and furniture in it, the pile of dirty laundry in a corner, the uncared kitchen and shiny things too.
