It's a beginner question, but I cant understand it. In medical or gem course, we learned that the planet conjunct a bad sun, mars, or saturn is affected way worse than a planet conjuncted an exalted malefic. Like a mercury conjunct a debilitated sun will get hurt way worse than a mercury conjunct an exalted sun. But in lagitaddi  course, we are learning something completely contradictory. That a planet conjunct an exalted sun will get agitated or ashamed way worse than a planet conjunct a debilitated sun. Because then they won't be able to hurt it and will be sleepy. So these are contradictory points to each other. And is it the difference between the Lajithariya Vashtha and the Deepthariya Vashtha? Like what affects a planet conjunct or aspected by  a malefic worse? The malefic being in exalted or good dignity or it being in debilitation and worse dignity? What hurts them worse? And why is there a difference between these two techniques? I really can't wrap my head around it. Thanks.

In the first Lajjitaadi Avasthas I was using shadbala. I have gravitated away from this to using dig, cheshta and uccha bala. So its more complex than just, is it exalted or db, or what is its dignity. It can be exalted, so high ucca, but with sun so low chestha. This is what I taught in the latest avastha course. In the context of predictions, yes, an aspect of a dignified malefic is less troublesome and even helpful in case of exaltation and MT, while aspect of DB planets, even benefics, is not supportive.
