you mentioned somewhere that you were helping someone build a dating app. Did you finalise that project? What techniques did you use for that software?
Also what planet combination do you think will give carrier of developer of dating astrology app according to Jaimini technique for carrier determination?

I built the astrology tools for that back in 2006. Its been used by a matrimony company in India since then and until the end of last year at which point the contract with them was cancelled. We are currently working on another company in India who wants to use it. I have a friend who is working on building a completely new dating site around the astrology tools but he has not managed to finish it yet, and i dont know when he will get it done.
The tools use the moon compatibility along with looking for partnership ties, which are connections between spouse factors in one chart with self-factors in another chart. It also considers the compatibly of venus and mars, and then mentions compatibility between other planets. Dating app development would need a rahu career planet and a venus career planet along with 7th house.

I have been also wondering about building such an app, as I've found that just the moon compatibility on its own would save such headaches if people would only know about it (and trust it).
I wonder, would you think it could work as part of a western style dating app where the compatibility would function as just a filter? Or did you even consider implementing it in the west?
Also I wonder how have you handled Rahu and Ketu factors there? I feel like it's a bit of a liability if you match a mars rahu synastry couple. Yet I also find that often if people choose someone who has mars on their rahu it's because they have something to learn from there, and I suspect they might almost not find anyone without such a synastry, because fundamentally they are not ready for a healthy functional relationship.
Speaking of this, you don't consider personal relationship readiness factors in there? How has that worked out? And what about the first letter of first name, if there's vedha between them? I personally find these factors to be essential for predicting the quality and longevity of a relationship.
(not sure my rahu venus in 11th house Leo cuts it but to me this looks like a prime combination for a dating app developer :D)

I have had several people in the west wanting to make dating apps and asked about incorporating the astrology, but none of them ever succeeded in making the app. If someone came along and wanted to do so, I have the material and would provide it. BUt its not a huge goal of mine so its not something I will take the time to build myself.
Oh that would be really useful if we get to it! We're currently testing some things with my friend and brainstorming solutions.
Say if we do get going with the app, do you have the material just ready to send? Or does it require some effort on your end, in which case at what stage would you feel it is worth your time, for example when we have app ready?
@paulsilm We have the material ready, would only take a bit of time on our end to make it look right in your app. Best for you to ask or it when you are really ready for it and knowing that the project will launch as we will have to charge a setup fee.
