I'm looking at the charts of a couple who have:
-Man's Saturn conjunct woman's Ketu
-Woman's waxing Moon + Saturn conjunct man's Ketu
-Man's waning Moon conjunct woman's Rahu.
I understand that a Man's waning Moon falling on the woman's Rahu brings initial attraction from her, but he ends up disappointing her in the long run, which did happen initially in their relationship. But as the relationship has gone on, they've been able to work through their difficulties over time and have gotten stronger as a couple. So, my question is, will the mutual Saturn-Ketu conjunctions give this relationship extra longevity and therefore cancel out the effects of his waning Moon conjunct her Rahu? And will it also lessen the effects of her becoming drained from overly nurturing the relationship like her Moon conjunct his Ketu will want to do?

It's so interesting that this thread has come back to life. These two are still together today, but not without conflict on both sides. The man really values living alone and having his own space and despite inviting my friend to move in with him, he struggled giving up his "privacy." (Saturn in Libra conjunct woman's Ketu and Venus) But since my friend moved out, he has been grovelling everyday for her to move back in with him and refused to accept a breakup. Meanwhile, my friend has been dating and seeing other men while all this has been going on, but she told him if he wanted her to live with him then they needed to get married and he has enthusiastically agreed. He is now excitedly wedding planning with her and I recently accompanied her to go engagement ring shopping. She has told me he has done a complete 180 now and has become the man she always wanted him to be. He just recently had his 42nd birthday interestingly, so I believe this could be pushing him more towards Rahu..
saturn on ketu will push the person into the rahu position. This wont feel good to the ketu person especially if they are under 42. it will feel like a pressure to them and be a source of conflict. Once the person finally goes to the rahu house, its likely the relationship will end.
so no, the saturn on ketu will not help the relationship last.
@ernst Thank you, Ernst. The woman is 35, just getting in to her Saturn maturation and the man is 38. He brought up marriage recently.
@ernst When assessing compatibility as a couple, Would you say it's more important to focus on the Node interpretations of their individual charts, or to look at where the partner's node goes in the chart? For example as individuals they have their nodes opposing each other in 2nd/8th axis. But as a couple, his Rahu falls in her 10th...etc.

If a man's Saturn is conjunct a woman's Ketu and Venus, is it fair to say the woman feels protected with this man but at the same time, fears she can't do better than this relationship?
@ernst What about when saturn is conjunct a partners Rahu? Is this relationship ending as well? I've had two partnerships now because of the years that we are born where their rahu is always conjunct my saturn and vice versa.
@teganrynne When Saturn on one is with Rahu on the other, the Rahu person will not be moving towards rahu much when doing things with the saturn person.
But the Saturn person is getting more Saturn because there Saturn is on top of the other person's Rahu?
@ernst Interesting discussion on Saturn of one person conjunct Ketu of the other person. What if the Ketu person is already more than 42 years old? Say 44 years old. Would it still be considered a tricky match? Maybe because in any case, when that person turns 49, Ketu will come back into play again, and will be badly affected by Saturn? (I'm a bit of beginner so appologies if the question is no good.)

@ernst Which is not a good thing, correct? Because at some point in life, you need to go back to Ketu to start embodying it in a more balanced way? And if your partners Saturn is then conjunct your own Ketu, it makes it harder to go back?

Ketu is what we need to finish. So the question, has it been finished in a healthy way, so that it is truly satisfied and complete. If so, then moving away from Ketu would be a good thing, because you're done with it. If you have truly finished it, then maybe it isn't such a good thing, because that means there are things you need to work on that you haven't resolved yet.
I think the ideal is that we work on both rahu and ketu in some ways all our lives, but that the maturation years (41-41 for rahu and 47-48 for ketu) are when we can really go deep into them and really learn to "do" them well. So ideally once we turn 48 we have completed Ketu, so then we will still have that ability and possibility, but we are truly done with it then we don't need to hold on to it or be in that Ketu area as much, or at all.
