Interested in people's experiences with exercise.

As my dominant planet in shad bala is Mars I favoured high intensity exercise such as crossfit, skiing down big mountains and martial arts.

This burnt out my adrenals and am now trying to do more venus and Saturn dominant exercise I.e slow weight lifting for healthy bones.

What have been people's experience with other planets such as moon, Jupiter, mercury etc based on shad bala, atmakaraka, aspects etc or other factors that support exercise?

Interested to know.

Thankyou

I hope that Ernst will chime in on this for some advice. My notes say adrenals and adrenal exhaustion are likely Sun/Leo affliction. Venus is more of the sustained energy, the ability to get the 2nd wind, endurance. Saturn is rest.  Perhaps eating or supporting Sun and Venus will help. Low dig bala and shadbala planets may provide the best answers for your question, and direction to focus your exercise routine.

Thankyou, so interesting and yes low dig bala shad bala helps. Also looking at it from Ayurvedic perspective helps too. With a weak sun we could have issues with the body so have to find ways to build up health through diet etc. Thanks for chiming in.

As the Sun rules the heart, I would think cardio aerobic exercise would strengthen the Sun?

I'm still a bit surprised Mars doesn't rule adrenals.

@mitryendra80 This is interesting. I've heard of the Sun representing the skeletal system, bones, and immunity in Vedic astrology. Is there a specific Vedic text in which the Sun is said to represent the heart?

@kam I actually remember Ernst, when mentioning Cancer ruling the area of the body containing the heart, saying that many people wrongly considered Leo as ruling the heart because its lord the Sun (and not the rashi Leo) is the graha that rules the heart as an organ. The Sun is, after all, the heart of the solar system.

I'm aware of the Sun ruling the bones and immunity. Immunity makes sense to me because it is the power of Agni that keeps us resistant to diseases and burns pathogens.

But some astrologers, even Vedic, have delegated bones and the skeleton to Saturn. This is understandable as the bones are the densest of the earth element residing in us and lasts long after we are dead. Saturn is both the earth and the air elements and the bones are dry and long-lasting.

But the skeleton is also our core and the Sun is the core of the Solar system.

@mitryendra80 Reading over notes and and manual and I wonder IF adrenals are an exchange between Sun/Jupiter?  Since Jupiter rules the endocrine system.

This is an interesting topic for me...

Exercise is 3rd bhava and I see my Mars connection to it to train for muscle building, rahu connection to it has always delayed me to pursue it with any consistency , Sun connection to it makes me inspired to run... my Saturn connection to 3rd lord causes me to focus on endurance too...

Venus my 8th lord and my 3rd lord dispositor shows engaging in doing occult exercises too...

So I have been a jack of all trades so far ????

Uggh!

I am hoping that Pluto entering my 3rd house, where my Ketu is, will not not hinder my ability exercise!

Physical exercises are my only hope of getting better at this point!

Wouldn't exercise routines be 6th house as well?

@mitryendra80

6th house I remember as 3Ds - disease, debts and delays plus enemies... so I think 6th connection to 3rd can show exercise to improve health or overcome disease...
