Can beads made from animal horn or bone be used for any kind of mantra?
I found some beads I once bought on eBay, I think they are from Nepal or that region.
Could this material be particularly favorable for certain mantras?

you can use any beads you want. I would not think they are having any special benefits. I really dont think it matters what you count your mantras on, what matters, is now many mantras you counted on the beads. Rudraskha beads have some benefit when worn and touching the skin, as do many other materials that beads can be made from. But that's not having anything to do with the mantras, it has to do with the material. Mantras will create a good vibration in anything and some things will hold those vibrations longer, such as gems. bone is a mineral, horn is not, it's mostly proteins, like hair and nails. I would prefer gem beads, rudrashkas or juniper beads. I really like juniper beads.
