Someone a long time ago in a mail from Yahoo said in 2023 Bill gates would be in his Rahu Dasa. And we are right into that now. Windows seems quite instable right now or going through huge change and the next windows 12 is going to install silently for most people, they won't notice they will update to windows 12. As I was looking to buy a new PC I watched a ton of video regarding the current state of the IT world, I used to work as a hardware guy, fixing the computer of everyone.
It's the first time in history Intel messed up so much. There is a huge scandale up ahead for intel. For those who don't know Intel used to have an almost complete monopoly on Windows hardware, selling most of the CPU, with AMD lagging behind. The server side used to be dominated by Intel, AMD not even a possible options for most.
Intel seems to have a huge problem with CPU manufacturing since 2022, their 13th and 14th gen CPU are all possibly concerned, but Intel kept things quiet even if huge failures rates have been noticed by various company working in IT. Since most people consider the CPU the least possible cause of instability almost no one questioned Intel reliability, a CPU usually does not fail. But since the problems started in 2022 intel swept everything under the rug, even blaming motherboard's manufacturer for their own CPU failure. Bios update have been issued since the beginning of the problems, with an abnormal quantity of bios to fix voltages and overclocking problems. All of this was due to Intel mess but they didn't admitted it, and even refused RMA of those CPU that failed.
Intel have officially admitted to the problem last month but I'm not sure the news have got up to everyone.
Intel CPU that are possibly still faulty could be sold at Christmas unless the scandal start to make more noise. They say they have a fix but maybe it's just another lie since they don't answer simple question since the beginning of the problem.
Possibly all computer with an Intel CPU is concerned, even laptop, but Intel have refused to give up specific details regarding that for now. Probably because they don't want to lose trust. But what we know for sure is that Server side and desktop have a huge failure rate, close to 50% according to some company. Overclocking and tweaking voltage for more performance make things worse. The laptops if they are concerned would fail last as they use less voltage, and most wouldn't notice the problem as it's not reported or confused with graphics problems.
There is an oxidation problems in the 13th gen, and maybe still in the 14th gen CPU. Those oxidation problems cause instability, high temps reading, wrong message error in windows, the error message blame the GPU and not the CPU. Nvidia has confirmed it was Intel faulty CPU that created error message and not Nvidia GPU.
So if you have a laptop or desktop with an intel CPU you may have stability issues if it was bought after 2022. Apple is not concerned as they don't use intel CPU anymore. AMD is not concerned either but most people buy intel CPU, at least most people that don't know Intel isn't the leader in the market right now.
This is going to have huge repercussion in the computer world, especially if news outlet let the information out. Price are going to increase as most will avoid intel CPU, so in the next month computer price could rise. And Sony recently announced a new console with AMD CPU inside, so maybe there is going to be a shortage. I'm not sure yet but it's possible.
Phone CPU are not concerned either.
presently using HPLaptop windows 11 OS on a INTEL core I 7 cpu bios has not been updated as of yet
Thanks
