in the context of Lajitaadi avashtas.

When a planet is "joined" to another.

What does this mean exactly ?

once they are in the same sign, does it mean they are automatically 'joined' ?

what is the  criteria for saying planets are joined together?

thank you , and many blessings 🙂

Yes, joined together or being conjunct means both planets are in the same zodiac sign

@rajan so the degrees don't matter?

and if many planets are in the same zodiac sign, then they are all in a conjunction?

thank you 🙂

@shaman

Yes, like even a planet at 1 degree is considered conjunct with another planet at 29 degrees if in the same sign.

All planets in one sign will be considered conjunct too. L

@shaman I understand if you want to get deeper inte the secrets of lajjitaadi avasthas really quick, but the path of astrology is a long one, obliging the student to be patient /said the guy who has Saturn debilitated in his chart/, not everything can be revealed at once. I think you will get more out of the course if you study at least the Jyotish building blocks first.

Hey! Yes planets gives the Lajjitaadi Avastha effect when they are in the same sign. Personally I do consider the degree as well. In my experience when a planet is in the same sign and very close by degree to another planet the Lajjitaadi Avastha effect seems to be more important in the persons life.

@ipoman great answer.

here is another question.

when uncle  Ernst mentions the planetary strength, in the context of lajitaadi avashtas.

what is he referring to exactly ? for example a strong mars, weak mars etc

thank you, much love and blessings

@shaman I assume he is referring primarily to Shadbala.
