Minneapolis City Riots

I lived there for a while and saw the news too...I am trying to pull the chart, but finding conflicting info about the date when the city was incorporated . I also found 1867 and 1872, but no month or date. I saw you found March 1st 1856, does that chart look ok to you?

I used this book for my Minneapolis founding dates.

cool...it doesn't allow me to open it, but I will take a peak at the chart using the date and time you've used already...the closest concrete date that I was able to come across was may 25th 1867  but that coincided with the Minneapolis tribune first paper, not incorporating the city.

it's passed midnight in Romania but I will take a peak when I wake up...I was intrigued by the events too

...some thoughts on these riots:

These days we are having an unusually high Sthana Bala Saturn in the sky, I am talking about a few months straight when we has (and still is) going well over 300% of the required amount. Sthana Bala is the capacity to maintain its integrity, to stand and to deliver the goods saturnian style, of course.

Masses are Saturn, and masses hold a lot of power in these times. Saturn rules darker skin too. These events involve un allegedly mistreated person of color, and the masses have had enough of the racism and stereotyping. Whether that actions of the police were honorable or not, a life was lost, and it triggered a response, lots of suppressed feelings came about. Saturn's element is AIR, and he's sitting in AIR sign Aquarius, Retrograde too.

Mars rules those that protect us, and those that save us. He has also been running around 200-250% on his Sthana Bala for a good while, so here is another planet ready to maintain its integrity, to stand and deliver. Police and other forces that maintain order fall here, of course. Mars's element is FIRE, and he's sitting in WATER sign Pisces.

Both Saturn and Mars are in good dignities, but Saturn is much much stronger, and Aquarius is the final disposition for Mars and its ruler, DB Jupiter.

Wise Jupiter doesn't help them much or at all, by planetary aspect, Venus is caught up in his own drama-rama in busy Gemeni. Saturn and Mars don't aspect each other in any way....so we shouldn't see their bad part, except that we can and we do. They each do the their best and overtime to bring their best agenda forward...with cruelty that is...

Mars wants to save and protect and fight for what is right and to save the day, he's either moving or he's drowning in the deep water of the Pisces, he likes swimming so he's good...he has 3 cruel grahas rasi aspecting, 1 gentle one, and a middling one. 

Saturn in Aquarius wants to restrict and endure, but he is more selective with whom he's associating with, and whom he services, on the 25th at night when the incident happened, and on the 26th when the riots started (peaceful and then they escalated) the Moon was in Cancer, strong, making a rasi aspect but more importantly a huge planetary aspect to Saturn Starving it and bringing that huge need and a passion for emotional fulfillment that can never be met, resulting in a lack of emotional freedom and the inability to express the emotions healthily, there is a lack of honesty in expressing the emotions that can be shown in a deranged fashion and I feel like this is what caused the masses of people to be slave to their passion. 

I am not even mentioning the other air sign, Gemini that is making all connections seem important, with Rahu, Venus Rx, Mercury and Sun there. It seems that expressing is the right thing to do.

Now, why Minneapolis first ? (I think since then there were protests in several other cities)...I got stuck in my story line here a bit ...

For the Chart of March 1st 1856 at 12:00, we're looking at a Cancer Lagna. Mars rules the 5th and the 10th, making him a Yogakaraka. This Mars  has a powerful intelligence and discriminative mentality that guides his actions and he wants to protect its children and the status. It's one of the strongest planets in this chart, and even if he is with Ketu, he has very nice help from his friends Sun and Mars, and only gentle rasi aspects. He also rules Rahu, and Minneapolis is running Rahu Dasa. Mars in transit is on top of Minneapolis Sun and Jupiter (9th house - 10th cusp), so perfectly located, ideal thing for him is to survey and protect those in need and fight for a cause, for justice. 

Saturn, Lord of 7th and 8th , sits in 12th Gemini. Everyone and their cousins is paying now a visit here in transit, including "beautiful" Rahu, and then Saturn in transits basically hits Minneapolis 8th cusp. Saturn is also the AK and he's paying a visit to Minneapolis Venus GK and Mercury BK, so now love, friendship, and underground fun (8th house Venus and Mercury), are exchanged for expressing the 8th house more cruely saturnian style, fights, screams, vandalization, destroying, not peaceful. That Rahu in transit over the 7th+8th house Lords Saturn (which is a longer standing issue) is not fun for any person, and it won't be for a city either.

SO yes, at first glance, I was thinking that a Mars and Saturn well dignified don't make sense here, but I think between Mars wanting justice and Saturn ruling the masses, but "kindly" aspected by the Moon in transit, plus Rahu over natal Saturn , and self karaka Saturn over 8th holding enemy karaka Venus and "brothers and sisters" karaka Mercury, I can somewhat make a picture in my mind.

I am sure I am missing a ton of important points and maybe I am not seeing it clearly altogether, but that's how I am interpreting it 🙂
