This is highly speculative:
I´m doing the transits course and realize that yes, indeed Saturn was - almost - transiting my 8th cusp when I discovered astrology as a possible career path. That, Ernst teaches us in the 6th video in that course, often means a career change, for the better.
Now - it was not within the same Navamsa, Saturn was about 6 degrees away from the 8th cusp when the big "Aha!" happened and I realized that astrology would be my new thing in life.
But on the exact day, or very close to it, Saturn transited my natal Ketu. 6 degrees from the 8th cusp. This is I said speculative, but could that have triggered the event?

That´s the missing link in my reasoning, thank you Ernst! The technique would have slam dunked in this case, but no, my Saturn is neither my AK or Lagna Lord. The closest it comes is being conjunct my AK in the Navamsha; not good enough then? After all it´s the ashram we are talking about, isn´t it?
Also thank you for clarifying the not triggering way of working.

@ernst Yeah, I guess. I get too eager and ask things in advance, I´m still just on the broad window stage. We´ll see when I get to the triggers what might show up. Just thought it was a fun one.
