Hello, don't know if it goes under predictive astrology... I'm listening to videos 3 & 5 and I have a doubt regarding a person's business capacity. You say Jupiter in any sign gives more of the sign, so in Gemini & Virgo it would give more business capacity, like more planning... but then in the example the owner of the bike shop has Jupiter in Virgo and you say it hurts the sign of Virgo and as a result hurts Mercury's consciousness. You go on to study if Jupiter gets enough help in the avasthas table, and it does, so you finally judge it as a "not so bad business capacity". So my question is, we can only say Jupiter gives the sign (when he's in an enemy sign) if he comes out ok in the avasthas table, correct?

If, for example, we have someone with Jupiter in Gemini and Jupiter doesn't get any help from his friends, this would clearly hurt business, right?

Thanks!

Jupiter always helps a sign manifest more, so it helps the sign give, but if Jupiter is starved there, meaning in an enemy sign, the person wont be happy with what jupiter or that sign gives them unless other factors help Jupiter's Avasthas.

Hello again 🙂 in the modalities video, (New rasi sutras course) you talk about solar & lunar halves. I've never used this other than with Rahu & Ketu and I was wondering if it would be a valuable thing to look at in a chart, just the number of planets that fall in one half or the other, to determine if the person is more solar or lunar? I'm testing it in 10 charts and I think it does give a bit of insight into the person. if this is something we can do, I have several questions:

1) to see if the person is more lunar or solar, would it be more accurate to see where the SU, L1, and AK fall or use all 7 planets?

2) I have a chart with someone that has 5 planets in the lunar half and 2 in the solar half, but the moon is heavily starved by Saturn, with no help, can we say he is a more pained individual? since he's more lunar but his moon is not doing very well?

3) the same with the sun... can you look at the state of the sun in a solar dominant person to see how well is that solar energy doing?

4) if someone has 5 or more planets in solar half, let's say, but Rahu in the lunar half, it would be more difficult for them to move to that Rahu side, right? regardless if Rahu's lord is exalted for example.

Thank you!

yes, all those points would be accurate except point 4. With point 4, yes, of course it will be more difficult to move to lunar half with rahu if most planets are in lunar half. That will always make it more difficult. Exaltation of rahu's lord is another factor. A helpful one. so here we have a difficult and helpful factor. You have to see it that way. Rahu's lord being exalted helps a lot as compared to the same situation with no help from rahu's lord.

Hello Ernst, I'm sorry for the many questions but that Modalities video was packed with knowledge! I'm slowly testing it on charts and many doubts arise...

1.- I've understood that it's the final avastha of a planet that determines if the sign will do well or not, but when you say if Gemini is weak they will take more from you, whereas, when it's afflicted you would want to take more... what makes Gemini weak? I know what makes it afflicted, a MA+SA conjunction, for example... but weak? could give an example.

2.- Can we look at all movable signs and determine what type of experience the person would have in foreign lands? I've done this with 5 charts and it's proving revealing (this is also in accordance with Rajjuu Yoga pointing out that the person will wander in foreign lands).

3.- When Cancer in afflicted, will the person have a very hard time to change what they feel about themselves, like a "permanent" bad self-image no matter what the person does or accomplishes or changes externally?

4.- What each Sign represents is fascinating and very important but if the sign is empty, do we look at the lord to see how the person would do with what the sign represents? For example, knowing the changing worth of something is very important but if Libra is empty... do we only have Venus to determine someone's capacity to evaluate something's change of value?

5.- Would someone with MO+SA in Capricorn always make changes for the worse in terms of career if this sign has their 10th cusp in it? It could mean each career change they make would end up being more taxing to their well being and mind (Moon).

6.- I'm confused on how to read a SU+JU conjunction in Taurus. Will this person be able to be materially secure in life at some point? Sun and Jupiter end up getting more help in avasthas, but by a thin margin; but then Jupiter is combust. I think it's a tough mix, I don't know if to lean towards the yes, or the not really.

7.- To see if the "body" of your work, relationship, etc is more movable, fixed, or dual we have to look at the Sign holding the cusp, right? I have someone with Cancer Asc, so natural 10th house is Aries, but her 10th cusp is in Pisces and she hasn't radically changed her career at all, so it would work better taking the cusp.

Thank you so much!
