Hi all,
Can anyone provide any advice on how to handle seeing difficult things in handwriting? I tend to focus more on the negative in general and I’m struggling with the handwriting course to draw out the good things in my initial sample.. (I wonder if I’m just messed up!)
It’s something I’m trying to work on within myself in general but I have been going through some testing times.
Thanks 🙂
A gratitude journal will probably help, and you can focus on correcting your handwriting flaws in it.
This course inspired me to start writing in cursive again and my hand goes a little wild when I’m trying to connect specific strokes. I also leave a very small top margin. I didn’t realize how extreme this was until even after I understood what it meant I was still doing it. So I talk about it with my therapist. I think it’s difficult because of my Ketu in Leo in the 3rd and Sun being my atmakaraka. Right now I just remind myself that I do tend to think I know best but I’m not here to know the best— I’m here to get along with others (Venus & Rahu in Aquarius in the 9th). The other day I bought some jackfruit and the cashier and another lady and I started talking about how to eat it. They said you could turn it into bbq. I had ripe jackfruit though and I told them that people usually turn young unripe jackfruit into bbq. Immediately I recognized that I had “1 upped” them in information unnecessarily and thought of other things I could have said that would have been more pleasant. That’s an example of how I handle seeing my own handwriting flaw, albeit not a painful one, but a very stubborn one
That's one of the things about handwriting, most things we learn are problems and so it's easy to just focus on the negatives. We have to start with the gestalt and see if the gestalt is solid or flawed.
The things that make the handwriting good are mostly found in the basics. We will learn some good things in the small details too as the course goes on.
There are a few over 30 things that make a person dangerous, there are about 60 things that augment danger when danger is found, and there are only about 25 things that inhibit danger because they are great assets. So as I taught in class, most variations are an issue. So we have to start with the gestalt and looking for normalcy, which is a GOOD thing.
In the end, we have to use handwriting in a helpful way. The easiest way to do that is to just see what mind dominates us, upper middle or lower zone, and then realize what's in charge and work on that.
