hi earnst ,all

one expression of kamadruma yoga is by having equal malefic, positioned in 2nd/8th from lagna, AK, or pada. i am not sure if it has been mention with regards to the upapada with similar weight of its effect. i know you mention that jamini says, that all that been said for the pada we should apply to the upapada and i am inclined to make this connection myself, however i dont have such vars experience with that position to make this assumption. would you be kind enough sharing your view on that please?

No, not from UPapada. this is because that yoga is in the svamsa part of jaimini, not in the pada chapter, had it been in pada chapter we would have to use in upapada as well.
