Hi @ernst and everyone,
Beyond the general Jaimini rule about benefics being favorable in Padas, do we also consider the 12th Lord from a Rashi as a potential separating influence on that Pada?
In one of the examples from the 'Concrete Chart & Varga Analysis with Jaimini' course (6th house / D30), Jupiter is placed in Aries - which is the Pada for the 6th cusp. In that context, it was only described as a manifesting influence...
Just wondering if the separating factor of the 12th Lord might also be something to consider in general, or if it's not relevant when analyzing Padas.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

When you are dealing with separating and manifesting influences, you are looking at concrete things - which means you are looking at bhavas. A bhava in this context is always counted from a rasi and it has 3 parts - the bhava, its lord, its pada. So yes a seperating factor on a pada can seperate you from the things of the pada that the bhava represents. BUt the 12th from the pada is not a seperating factor, it's the 12th from the lagna.
@ernst, I still have one last question on this topic that I’d really appreciate some clarity on.
When analyzing the 12th Lord in the Vargas, should we consider the 12th from the Lagna, or from the sign where the 12th house cusp is actually placed?
Also, I noticed the 12th Lord hasn’t been included in many of the examples throughout the course. Is that because it’s considered secondary in influence compared to natural separators like Saturn or Rahu?
Thank you in advance for your insights!
THe 12th from lagna. And yes, its not as significant as rahu or saturn as a seperator, also, often its also a manifestor, so at times it can manifest or seperate and if its in bad shape, it will seperate most of the time and the things it manifests will take to much energy, time or money and so eventually be given up.
That's what I was thinking, but I really wanted to be sure. Thank you for taking the time to offer such a nuanced and thoughtful response.
