Hello @ernst and everyone,
in the 'Concrete Chart Analysis with Jaimini' course, the use of Saturn and the 11th Bhava for older siblings was highlighted. I'm curious whether these indicators could also apply to individuals in professional settings who play more of a mentorship role.
> Here a list of what has to be analysed - is this about right?
- Saturn and its dispositor
- BK and its dispositor
- 11th Bhava
- 9th Bhava
- Lord of the 11th Bhava and its dispositor
- Lord of the 9th Bhava and its dispositor
- 11th Pada
- 9th Pada
Additionally, considering:
- 11th from Saturn
- 9th from Saturn
- Lord of the 11th from Saturn and its dispositor
- Lord of the 9th from Saturn and its dispositor
- 11th from BK
- 9th from BK
- Lord of the 11th from BK and its dispositor
- Lord of the 9th from BK and its dispositor
- Padas of the mentioned Rashis above
---
Specifically, could we extend these insights to make observations about:
- The social environment (11th Bhava), possibly shared traits with elder siblings.
- The role model or mentorship qualities (9th Bhava) they embody.
Regarding the themes surrounding the 11th Bhava, have any of you tested these in the 11th Varga Chart (D11)? I recall a mention in a previous course session that Vargas beyond those 16 mentioned in Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra may not be as useful.
Looking forward to your insights and experiences.
Kaspar
For mentor you want to use Jupiter, not Saturn.
@ernst OK, got it - thanks for clarifying!
So just to confirm: you also wouldn’t recommend applying the Saturn/11th-Bhava schema in the D3 chart when analyzing relationships with “older” neighbors, senior team members, or similar figures in our environment?
Thanks again!
It depends, are theymentors - someone helping bring out what is best in the person, then Jupiter. Or are they getting the credit and reward while the others in the team are not, then its saturn.
The idea of older brother being saturn is because saturn gets something that none of the other siblings get. They get mom all to themselves for a while, and they got the inheritance, the throne, etc. Then younger siblings come in, and they are competition to the older siblings. They may try to take the crown, they try to take mom away, etc. etc. THe only other option is that the elder sibling learns to work with the younger siblings in a way that furthers the family - the team in this case, makes the siblings teammates, respects each person's abilities and rewards for them.
