Hello Ernst,

I am confused about the Bhava option settings in Kala. When I use the equal Bhava chart and I click in the center of the chart to see the beginning and end of the Bhava in degrees it shows for the first house that it beginns 15 degree before the Ascendent and ends 15 degrees after the Ascendent. That continues for the rest of the houses. Thats clear so far except that it differs from an explanation from you where you explain the Bhava systems. There you explain that in Kala the equal house system works in a way that 30 degree from the Ascendents degree is the first Bhava point, meaning, as far as I understand that, from Ascendents degree onward 30 degree is the first house. Either I dont understand something or can it be that there is something wrong?

If I look at the Bhava Chalita, any Bhaca system, if I choose in Kala as option for house cusps "Beginning of the house" or "Middle of the House" it always shows as the Bhava cusp the degree of the Ascendent which means the start of the first house is the Ascendents degree and the end is then according to whatever Bhava system I choose of different length. But why does it not change in the display when I choose "Middle of the House" or "Beginning of the House". Should there not be a change?

If you select middle of house for the cusp, that means the house position starts 15 degrees before and ends 15 after the cusp so the planets will get into differnet positions, but the cusp is still the cusp. Whatever option you use, the cusp is still the cusp.

@ernst OK, I understand, I have checked it and it does what you say. Thank you.
