hi Ernst , friends

just to refresh my understanding of aspects (planetary) of planet in a varga with respect to its natural dignity, if a planet is lets say exa and aspect a planet which it is enemy to, would that aspect hurt the other planet in a strong way because it is strong , or would that mean that that planet because of it exaltation wouldn't negatively affect the planet it aspects?

in respect to lajjitaadi avasthas how much a planet hurts another is basedon its uccha bala, chestha bala, dig bala and subha phala. Exaltation in rasi makes a very high uccha bala. Exaltation in rasi or varga increases the subha phala. So less harm will be created but there will still be harm based on the other factors.

ok so the general idea is the better those factors are (uccha, chesta, dig, suba) for a planet in question ,meaning if its strong, the less harm it gives as an enemy to another planet. reason i ask is, you said few times in the video of the chatratamsh varga in depth (in few of the examples) that a strong planet aspect in an inimical aspect on another (it was MT moon) would hurt mercury, and again strong sun(exa both in the rasi and d-4) in aspect to mercury will agitate it strongly ,and it got me confused. you do teach in the advanced later classes of L/A what you answered me, so i just wanted to have clarity on my understanding, so thank you!!!

Thanks for asking the question @sharonsegall , I had the same question

@ernst - so in the Yoga judgement screen, for I*S*SD, we should also modify the value we see for the planet in accordance to Lajjitadi avasthas and aspect to make it holistic, correct ?

For example, Say Yoga Strength is YS = I*S*SD for a planet, and Venus aspects Saturn to 40 points. Then the Yoga strength of Saturn is YS of saturn + (40/60)*YS of Venus - (aspect)*YS of enemy.

I understand context matters and its more about how a person uses the consciousness of the planet, but is that a valid way to approach ?
