Hi @ernst

If a planet say Mars is highly delighted but not doing any planetary aspect to 7th cusp in rasi but manifesting 7th cusp in d7 (say d7 having 7th cusp in Aries with Mars in it)  means Mars can produce a martial quality partner but won't be able to delight her path in life with his own great martial attitude. Is this understanding correct?

Thank you

perhaps martial activities will not be as much a part of the path with the partner even if the partner has a predominance of martial aspects to them.  Would be interesting to see if there are also incompatibility Lajittaadi Aavasthas like kshobhita, kshuditha, in particular with Venus involved.

If mars rules the D7 7th and its delighted, then yes, mars will give a delightful relationship. So take the ruler of things in teh vargas and see the lajjitaadi avasthas in the rasi.

Okay, thanks Ernst

Now if some planet is not ruling a cusp in varga and but connects to cusp through rasi aspect, so how can we figure amount of delight to that cusp?  Say this delighted Mars rasi aspecting 5th cusp in d7, does it have a link with how much Mars doing planetary aspect to 5th cusp in rasi ? Like if this Mars doing 60 points planetary aspect in rasi to 5th cusp will give 100% of delight in 5th cusp in d7 too ? And if only aspecting 30 points in rasi, then only 50% delight transferred in varga too?

@ernst just to make it more clear you said above "So take the ruler of things in teh vargas and see the lajjitaadi avasthas in the rasi.  in addition to this  in the advance Varga class you consider the rashi placement of the rashi planet in respective varga to determine the final LA Of the Varga planet in other words if I can take the example of Amit's if Mars is delighted in Rashi and it is influecing 7th Factor in D7 I would also consider the Mar's rashi placement to add or subtract the final say on LA is that not correct understanding ?

If a planet is delighted and aspecting a cusp, the delight to the cups is the planets aspect multiped by its delight.

and yes, Yogesh, take the ruler of things in teh varga and see the lajjitaadi avasthas in the rasi. And as to the second question, I only use lajjitaadi avasthas in the rasi now. I look for rulerships in the vargas and take the lajjitaadi in the rasi.

Thanks @ernst

Did you mean it for all vargas or only rasi ?

Apart from rulership, LAs on a cusp in any varga by all rasi aspecting planets, we can also take their LA from rasi and multiply that with aspect the cusp is receiving in rasi? So that means if 7th cusp in d7 and d9 are rasi aspected by same planet, LA will be same in both vargas, right?

If you could please spare little time to create a small video on this, it will be very easy to understand!

@ernst Ok but then with this logic  we are diluting the rashi placement of Planet in varga and not considering its delight factor for that varga    isnt it ? I do  understand you dont take aspect and conjunction in Varga as you have explained as those are astronomical aspect and conjuctions wont make sense in Varga   however planet's s rashi placement is something we  should consider as it is derived by division of time and it is the time division which will define your delight factor for the varga ,  in other words for e.g  if all other factors equal  Ve is exalted in D9 (being in Pices ) and debilated in Rashi being in Virgo ) as per you Ve is going to suck for D9 whatever it rules in D9 as we will take LA from Rashi not D9 , kindly help clarify I am kind of taken a back 🙂

@yogesh There are a lot of ways you can use the vargas and the avasthas. Over the last 2 years i have been moving towards using vargas in quite differetn ways. Not that the ways i used in the past did not work. I really like how i showed using lajjitaadi and deeptaadis together in the rasi and vargas. its a great technique. But I am working on a very streamlined approach to reading a chart now that will be the most efficient way to see what people most want and need. Want means, in respect to prediction, and need means in respect to their inner lives. So a technique with vismhottari dasa that streamlines everything important that is parashara into a workable and without contradiction result. The stress of using vargas a lot, is that we start to get so many possiblities and so many contradictions that we need to sort through. I am working on bypassing all of that. I am very happy with the results i am having at this time. I still have to work on some dasa tweaking and i won't be teaching any of this until after I finish the aditya course which I hope to start soon.

@ernst this is exiting news and I agree its too much of juggling between want and need at the moment when it comes to LA and managing Vargas effectively .

Aditya course sounds interesting - names suggests it has to do with Sun in center for this course , cant wait to take this course,  do it after sun enters Capricorn 🙂
