I look for rulerships in the vargas and take the lajjitaadi in the rasi.

Thanks for this Ernst.  Maybe you could clarify if this note I have from the LA class falls under this purview.  The note says taking Mercury for example: Sun and Mercury are conjunct in the Rasi and Mercury is not Lajjitta, however, if Mercury is in the 5th in any Varga, it becomes Lajjitta in that Varga.

The note goes on to talk about applying the same to planets conjunct Sun, Saturn, Mars in the Rasi and if they appear in the 5th in any Vargas.  Is this technique still valid?

Hi @ernst

In the Parashara LA course, you taught to add/subtract full shadbala LA while in master LA course, you went to more granular level at uccha, chesta and dig but added/subtracted the positive or negative parts of the planet only.

Would it make sense to do the same thing with shadbala calculation too to add what's positive of the planet which is happening anyway but subtract not the full shadbala but the deficient shad bala only. Deficient shad bala means sum of (60 - each bala). So that way we can see planet is pushing its total negative bala only on enemy planet under bad LA.
