In the HOP Lajjitadi Avastha course, you mentioned that it is very important to consider the avasthas of planets in ascendant, ascendant lord, atmakaraka and the sun.
The sun avastha may reflect our ability for creative vision, but it is not clear to me how the effects differ between planets in ascendant, ascendant lord and atmakaraka.
For example, let us consider Saturn that is seeing plenty of action (with following avasthas):
Saturn in 9th (Gemini)
SUN STARVING BY 30 POINTS (ASPECT)
MOON STARVING (SAME LORD CONJUNCTION)
MARS STARVING BY 60 POINTS (IN SAME RASHI)
MARS/KETU SHAMING BY 60 POINTS (ALL IN SAME RASHI)
MERCURY DELIGHTING BY 60 POINTS (IN MERCURY'S SIGN)
VENUS DELIGHTING BY 29 POINTS (ASPECT)
Now, what will the effects of these avasthas be if Saturn is:
1. Atmakaraka
2. Ascendant lord (Then Gemini would be 6th or 5th instead of 9th house cusp)
3. In ascendant instead of 9th

The planets in the asc and the asc lord are the most important in respect to the person living their life in a way that works. If these are bad, nothing seems to work for the person. The first house is the foundation of everything in our lives, if we struggle with that, everything is a struggle. Then the differenvce is what planet is affect, what planet is in the first, what is the lagna lord, so the planet itself will define the difference.
The sun is not really more important than any other planet. What is the most important planet to pay attention to? The best one, and the worst one. These are the generals in the war between happiness and misery. The outcome depends on them.
The Ak planet, it will help ground the person in the face of troubling avasthas if its in good avasthas, however, it wont change the life totally, it wont make life work if the asc or asc lord are afflicted with bad lajjitaadi avasthas.
Its very simple, look at the worst lajjitaadi planet, see how the most suffering comes from the things of that planet and the house it rules? as long as a person avoids those houses and things, life is good, and these things, they are not always with us, t hey come and go. But the first house, its always with us. We can't leave it behind at work or at home. It follows us, and so if its bad, wherever we go, its hard to be happy.
