Hi Ernst, i am taking the shad bala audio course and was wandering about the shad bala table as shown in the kala.  in your general calculation option recommendation (the one you recommend using for all the techniques you teaching) the system recommended is campanus  midle house cusp. so when one uses that option  the laajitadi avashtas  table values are obviously based on the shad bala calculated by the parameters (house cusp position) of campanus.  am i correct?

my question is ,do i convert my options to Regiomontanus in order to have the accurate shad bala sub values and total value?  since the sthana and dig bala correct calculation as you teach, are  based on local space and house cusp  with reference to the equator (regiomontanus system) and that changes the values, and while i  use the recommended  defalt setting recomended by you ,which is campanus system on the kala, the values that calculated for the L/A and the cusp position are not as you recommend in the course, so what should one use when looking at a chart and wanting to use the L/A values and real cusp position for prediction?

hope i make sense, it a bit confusing.

No, you do not need to change the regiomantanus system as the calculations based on equator in shad bala are not about the bhavas, but simply upon the equator.

with reference to what you said, isn't the calculation of dig and sthana bala (kendradi bala) are based on bhava cusp as we experience it from the local space perspective? i am a bit confused, maybe i misunderstood you
