Panic attack indications and remedies/ Ketu mahadasha
Hello, I did a reading for a gal who has suffered a lot of loss (including deaths of several loved ones) since she started her Ketu mahadasha 1.5 yrs ago. Since then she’s been having recurring panic attacks and never had experienced this before. Ketu is in Libra 2nd house. They are triggered by self worth issues. I’ve suggested a few things including meditation but still looking into this.
I am wondering: what are astrological indications for panic attacks? What are remedies/prevention tactics?
I also have Ketu in Libra, and have also dealt with panic attacks.
I would recommend exercise, look at the opposite sign from Libra, Aries = blood pumping exercise. Exercise, especially cardio can really help discharge the stuck energy.
Also Libra ruled by Venus, sweets. Imbalanced blood sugar and insulin resistance can cause physiological anxiety like issues which compounds psychological anxiety. Carb cycling (carbs only before or after exercise) with higher fats, proteins, and vegetables for the rest of the meals works extremely well for keep the nervous system more stable and calm.
Also, Saturn is letting go, and can help us rest. So taking something like Magnesium, which relaxes the nervous system/muscles, and also helps with gastric emptying.
I don't recommend meditation at all until they have calmed down first, and then reintroduce meditation to reinforce or circulate an already calm/good feeling. Trying to meditate when you are anxious is like adding oil to fire, lol.
There is also a herb called Albizzia Julibrussin, which totally unwinds tension around the heart. I find it very effective.
@kali-snow I also have Ketu in Libra in my 2nd house with the Sun and Venus. I began experiencing panic attacks for the first time last year. I believe what triggered it was Ketu transiting my Saturn.
Recently, I've discovered that reading a book helps me. I know it sounds crazy and counterintuitive trying to look at words when you're in the middle of a breakdown, but I find if I force myself to do it even for 10 minutes, I get lost in the book and can calm down because my mind gets pulled in to the story and out of the negative thought loops.
Something else that I've started doing recently through the recommendation of the Vedic Astrologer, Karen White, is stream-of-consciousness journaling. When I'm in the midst of a particularly shitty feeling emotional attack, I take out a notebook and just write what I'm thinking about and feeling. Usually, the attack dissipates by the time I've written 1-2 pages.
Another thing that I used to do frequently was reset my Vagus nerve using various simple exercises which can be found on Youtube. Here's a link to one person who's video I used frequently: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1HCG3BGK8I&ab_channel=SukieBaxter-WholeBodyRevolution
Hope this helps 🙂
why will Ketu in Libra cause panic attacks?
I looked through my clients whom I know well and only 1 out of 5 with ketu in 7th experiences panic attacks. (Venus it also afflicted in this chart)
I also have Ketu in Libra, 2nd house, so this makes sense to me. In his discussion "Healing Rahu & Ketu" Ernst also states that this is the most difficult position for the Nodes. I totally agree with him.
