Hello everyone,

What's the best time to use for the chart, is it the time the astrologer receives the question or the time and place the querent asked the question? I have the city and time and day the lady sent me the question and I figured I should use this information since she was asking it at that time so she must have been eager to know at that moment in time.

Caroline.

Hi,

I have been using the time stamp on my email (my local time) and my city to cast the prasna and it's worked out well so far. This way, if I don't check the emails for a few days, I still have the date and time of when I first received it (it came into my posession). When I get phone questions, I immediately look at the time and write it down, but I still cast the prasna using my location.

I also know an astrologer that uses the time when she first read the question, and casts the prasna for her location.

It would be interesting to know other opinions as well.

Mirela

@mirela Hi Mirela,

Thank you for your answer. So what was really interesting about this chart was that I got the same exact ascendant for her location with the information of when she sent me the question as I did when cast the chart in my location so it’s pretty much the same answer. That coincidence was really nice, I’ll keep using the time I have in the email it seems more accurate.

Hi Caroline, it's definitely the time and location that you, the astrologer, reads the question. I've downloaded "exact time" app on my phone and I take a screen shot of the app as I read the question. My understanding is that it's the moment you read the question (not when the email hits your mailbox), which is the moment it enters your consciousness (for lack of a better word). I may be wrong, so happy for anyone to pitch in on that.

That being said, for a friend who had several questions re: companies she is trying to buy, I asked her to write down the day and time she first heard about each company (only because I do that as a friend and consider that it would be the same as if I were casting it for myself).

You have to answer the moment that they ask you, the astrologer, the question. It can't be a casual question, it has to be important to them.

@ernst So when the asking happens by email, do you use the day/time the email hit your inbox or the moment you read it? Thanks!
